IIM serves as the leader and the catalyst in the efforts to uplift the integrity of the corporate sector and to enhance the commitment towards social responsibilities encompassing the environment, local community development, employees welfare interest at the workplace and ethical market operations. Generally, the core strategies and efforts of IIM lead to the enhancement of quality and wellbeing of the people. On the other hand, continuous strengthening of the noble values and integrity at all levels of the society is the long-term target in the government's development objectives. IIM has been directly involved with the regulatory bodies such as the Securities Commission, Bursa Malaysia and the Companies Commission of Malaysia through the participation in collaborative projects and promotional support, among others the Bursa Malaysia CSR Framework, SSM Corporate Responsibility Agenda and the SC-Institute of Corporate Responsibility Awards. In 2010, IIM carried on the implementation of the Environmental integrity and human capital programme at the national level. The programmes and events carried out included the Rebung CSR annual project involving secondary school student leaders, Environmental forums, Kem Mesra Didik and Jelajah Integriti with Orang Asli children. The 2010 Rebung CSR Programme was carried out in MRSM FELDA, Trolak, Perak on 13-20 June last year in collaboration with the MARA Secondary Education division, the VAT 69 Commando Veteran Association, the Malaysian AntiCorruption Commission (SPRM), Projek Lebuh raya Utara Selatan (PLUS), Malaysian Nature Society (MNS), Perusahaan Automobil Nasional (PROTON), Institut Sosial Malaysia and Universiti Pengajian Sultan Idris (UPSI). The 2010 Kem Didik which drew the participation of close to 400 Orang Asli children throughout Malaysia was successfully held by Majlis Amanah Rakyat in collaboration with the Department of Orang Asli Affairs in MRSM Kuala Kubu Baru on 12-16 December last year. The programme which applied the learning elements and the theatre module mobilised the workforce of Rebung CSR alumnus force and the Integrity Business Club with the aim to educate and to set good examples for the Orang Asli children. As in the previous year, the educational approach of the third series of Jelajah Integriti which was carried out at Pos Balar and Pos Brooke, Gua Musang, Kelantan on 2-8 July 2010 was to help improve the economic status of the Orang Asli. This is IIM's annual project involving almost all employees of IIM and the integrity peers in a

CSR initiative which is well planned, continuous and focused towards the marginalised Orang Asli community nationwide. IIM also organised the Environmental Integrity Forum with the hope that this programme would help to educate the people on the importance of maintaining and conserving the environment for the wellbeing of everyone. To make this programme a success, IIM collaborated with the champions of environmental conservation as well as related agencies and organisations such as the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) and the Environmental Department. IIM hopes that educational programmes such as these could help educate the people on the maintenance and conservation of the environment for mutual prosperity now and in the future. Publication of brochures and mass-media material regarding the importance of environmental integrity conservation also continues. In fact, in the daily operations and governance of IIM, all employees of IIM are encouraged to practice the recycling culture (3R Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) by reducing the use of plastics in the office, recycling of used paper and reduced use of the air-conditioners, electricity and water during office hours. The Malaysian Integrity Institute will carry on its effors in inculcating noble values and integrity through educational CSR programmes to all levels of the society.
