Use of dress. - The use of the stage. - The Use of the microphone. - Are these being used to more effectively communicate the song and to improve the understanding of its lyrics? - This includes the use of props, stagehands, dancers. - Are these other symbols of communication assisting or interfering with the presentation of the song? - Are they original symbols?

Regional Calypso Competition Guidelines A two-song competition with one being a new song on a police oriented theme, the other must be from the performers repertoire (original) Prizes are as follows: 1st U.S. $1,500.00 2nd U.S. $1,000.00 rd 3 U.S. $500.00 All other participants will receive an appearance fee of U.S. $150.00. Music must be properly scored out upon the arrivals of participants to facilitate rehearsals. Rehearsals are scheduled for October 19 and 20 at the Police Band Room.
