QURAN VERSES
2.29 He created for you all that is in the earth, then, He willed to the heaven, and leveled them 7 heavens. He has knowledge of all things. 2.196 Fulfill the pilgrimage and make the visitation for Allah. If you are prevented, then whatever offering that may be easy. And do not shave your heads until the offerings have reached their destination. But if any of you is ill or suffers from an ailment of the head (scalp), he must pay a ransom either by fasting or by the giving of charity, or by offering a sacrifice. When you are safe, then whosoever enjoys the visitation until the pilgrimage, let his offering be that which may be easy, but if he lacks the means, let him fast three days during the pilgrimage and 7 when he has returned, that is, ten days in all. That is for him whose family is not present at the Holy Mosque. And fear Allah and know that He is firm in inflicting punishment. 2.261 The example of those who give their wealth in the way of Allah is like a grain of corn that sprouts 7 ears, in every ear a hundred grains. Allah multiplies to whom He will, Allah is the Embracer, the Knower. 12.43 The king said: 'I saw in a vision 7 fatted cows being devoured by 7 lean ones; and 7 green ears of corn and 7 others withered. My counselors, tell me the meaning of my vision, if you can interpret visions.' 12.46 (He said:) 'Joseph, the truthful, tell us of the 7 fatted cows that were devoured by 7 lean ones - also of the 7 green ears of corn and the other 7 which were withered, so that I can go back to the people and then they will then know.' 12.47 He replied: 'You shall sow for 7 years as is your way. Leave in the ear (of corn) you reap, except a little which you eat. 12.48 Thereafter, 7 hard years will come upon you which will consume all but little of that which you have stored. 15.44 It has 7 gates, and through each gate a portion of them belong. 15.87 We have given you the 7 dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 17.44 The 7 heavens, the earth, and whosoever in them, exalt Him. There is nothing that does not exalt with His praise, but you do not understand their exaltation. Surely, He is Clement, Forgiving.

18.22 Some will say: 'They were three; their dog was the fourth.' Others, guessing at the Unseen, will say: 'They were five and their dog was the sixth.' And yet others: '7; their dog was the eighth.' Say: 'My Lord knows best their number. Except for a few none know their number.' Therefore, do not dispute with them except in outward disputation, and do not ask any of them concerning them. 23.17 We have created 7 ways above you; of our creation, we are never inattentive. 23.86 Say: 'Who is the Lord of the 7 heavens, and of the Great Throne?' 31.27 If all the trees in the earth were pens, and the sea, with 7 more seas to replenish it (with ink), the Words of Allah would never end. Allah is the Almighty, the Wise. 41.12 In two days He determined them 7 heavens, and He revealed to each heaven its commands. We decorated the lowest heaven with lamps and preserve them. Such is the decree of the Almighty, the Knower. 65.12 It is Allah who has created the 7 heavens, and of the earth their like, and the Command descends between them so that you know Allah is powerful over all things, and that Allah encompasses everything in knowledge. 67.3 Who created the 7 heavens, one above the other. You cannot see any inconsistency in the creation of the Merciful. Return your gaze, do you see any crack! 69.07 That He subjected upon them for 7 nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down (Aad). 71.15 Have you not seen how Allah created the 7 heavens one above the other, 78.12 And We built above you 7 strong ones, 71.55 Moses chose from among his nation 70 men for Our appointment, and when the quake seized them, Moses said: 'My Lord, had it been Your Will, You would have destroyed them before, and me. Will You destroy us for that which the fools amongst us did? It is only Your trial by which You leave in error whom You will, and guide whom You will. You alone are our Guardian. Forgive us and have mercy on us, You are the Best of those who forgive. 9:80 (It is the same) whether or not you beg forgiveness for them. If you beg forgiveness for them 70 times Allah will not forgive them, for they have disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger. Allah does not guide the evildoers. 69:32 then in a chain 70 arms lengths long insert him.

A man might perform the works of evil people for 70 years, but then dictates a just will and thus ends with the best of his deeds and then enters Paradise. Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet said, Whoever killed a person having a treaty of protection with the Muslims, and who enjoys the guarantee of Allah and His Messenger, he will have spoiled the guarantee of Allah (for him). When they started killing them, a great darkness suddenly overcame them. After the darkness lifted, they had killed 70,000 of them. Those who were killed among them were forgiven, and those who remained alive were also forgiven.'' Allah revealed to Musa that these 70 men were among those who worshipped the calf. Afterwards, Allah brought them back to life one man at a time, while the rest of them were watching how Allah was bringing them back to life. That is why Allah's said, Then We raised you up after your death, so that you might be grateful.''

Sahih Al-Bukhari

That there was a dispute between him and some people (about a piece of land). When he told 'Aisha about it, she said, "O Abu Salama! Avoid taking the land unjustly, for the Prophet said, 'Whoever usurps even one span of the land of somebody, his neck will be encircled with it down the 7 earths. (Narrated Abu Salama) I was a guest of Abu Huraira for 7 days. Abu Huraira, his wife and his slave used to get up and remain awake for one-third of the night by turns. Each would offer the night prayer and then awaken the other. I heard Abu Huraira saying, "Allah's Apostle distributed dates among his companions and my share was 7 dates, one of which was a Hashafa (a date which dried on the tree before it was fully ripe). (Narrated Abu 'Uthman ) No man embraced Islam before the day on which I embraced Islam, and no doubt, I remained for 7 days as one third of the then extant Muslims. (Narrated Sad bin Abi Waqqas). Allah's Apostle said to me, "Recite the whole Qur'an in one month's time." I said, "But I have power (to do more than that)." Allah's Apostle said, "Then finish the recitation of the Qur'an in 7 days, and do not finish it in less than this period." (Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr) It is the Prophet's tradition that if someone marries a virgin and he has already a matron wife then he should stay for 7 days with her (the virgin) and then by turns; and if someone marries a matron and he has already a virgin wife then he should stay with her (the matron) for three days, and then by turns. (Narrated Anas) Ibn 'Umar never used to take his meal unless a poor man was called to eat with him. One day I brought a poor man to eat with him, the man ate too much, whereupon Ibn 'Umar said, "O Nafi'! Don't let this man enter my house, for I heard the Prophet saying, "A believer eats in one intestine (is satisfied with a little food), and a kafir (unbeliever) eats in 7 intestines (eats much food)." (Narrated Nafi) The Prophet offered four Rakat of Zuhr prayer at Medina; and two Rakat of 'Asr prayer at Dhulhulaifa and spent the night there and when (the day) dawned, he mounted his Mount and started saying, "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and Glorified be Allah." When he reached Al-Baida' he recited Talbiya for both Hajj & Umra. And when he arrived at Mecca, he ordered them (his companions) to finish their Ihram. The Prophet slaughtered 7 Budn (camel) with his own hands while the camels were standing He also sacrificed two horned rams (black & white in color) at Medina. (Narrated Anas) I came to Khabbab who had been branded with 7 brands over his abdomen, and I heard him saying, "If the Prophet: had not forbidden us to invoke (Allah) for death, I would have invoked Allah for it.( Narrated Qais) I went to Allah's Apostle along with a a son of mine whose palate and tonsils I had pressed with my finger as a treatment for a (throat and tonsil) disease. The Prophet said, "Why do you pain your children by pressing their throats! Use Ud Al-Hindi (certain Indian incense) for it cures 7 diseases, one of which is pleurisy. It is used as a snuff for treating throat and tonsil disease and it is inserted into one side of the mouth of one suffering from pleurisy. (Narrated Um Qais) When the health of Allah's Apostle deteriorated and his condition became serious, he asked the permission of all his wives to allow him to be treated In my house, and they allowed him. He came out, supported by two men and his legs were dragging on the ground between Abbas and another man. 'Aisha added: When the Prophet entered my house and

his disease became aggravated, he said, "Pour on me 7 water skins full of water (the tying ribbons of which had not been untied) so that I may give some advice to the people." So we made him sit in a tub belonging to Hafsa, the wife of the Prophet and started pouring water on him from those water skins till he waved us to stop. Then he went out to the people & led them in prayer & delivered a speech before them. One day I went to Ibn Masud who said, "When Quraish delayed in embracing Islam, the Prophet I invoked Allah to curse them, so they were afflicted with a (famine) year because of which many of them died and they ate the carcasses and Abu Sufyan came to the Prophet and said, 'O Muhammad! You came to order people to keep good relation with kith and kin and your nation is being destroyed, so invoke Allah I ? So the Prophet I recited the Holy verses of Sirat-Ad-Dukhan: 'Then watch you For the day that The sky will Bring forth a kind Of smoke Plainly visible.' (44.10) When the famine was taken off, the people renegade once again as nonbelievers. The statement of Allah, (in Sura "Ad- Dukhan"-44) refers to that: 'On the day when We shall seize You with a mighty grasp.' (44.16) And that was what happened on the day of the battle of Badr." Asbath added on the authority of Mansur, "Allah's Apostle prayed for them and it rained heavily for 7 days. So the people complained of the excessive rain. The Prophet said, 'O Allah! (Let it rain) around us and not on us.' So the clouds dispersed over his head and it rained over the surroundings. (Narrated Masruq) Allah's Apostle said, "The people will sweat so profusely on the Day of Resurrection that their sweat will sink 70 cubits deep into the earth, and it will rise up till it reaches the people's mouths and ears." (Narrated Abu Huraira) We do not know of any tribe amongst the 'Arab tribes who lost more martyrs than AlAnsar, and they will have superiority on the Day of Resurrection. Anas bin Malik told us that 70 from the Ansar were martyred on the day of Uhud, and 70 on the battle of Bir Ma'una, and 70 on the day of Al-Yamama. Anas added, "The battle of Bir Ma'una took place during the lifetime of Allah's Apostle and the battle of Al-Yamama, during the caliphate of Abu Bakr, and it was the day when Musailamah Al-Kadhdhab was killed. " The Prophet sent about 70 men (who knew the Quran by heart) towards the pagans (of Najd) who were less than they in number and there was a peace treaty between them and Allah's Apostles (but the Pagans broke the treaty and killed the 70 men). So Allah's Apostle recited Qunut for a period of one month asking Allah to punish them." Prophet Mohammed Said. On Meraj, I was shown Al-Bait-al-Ma'mur (i.e. Allah's House). I asked Gabriel about it and he said, This is Al Bait-ul-Ma'mur where 70,000 angels perform prayers daily and when they leave they never return to it (but always a fresh batch comes into it daily). (Narrated Malik bin Sasaa) Allah's Apostle said, "Allah says, "If My slave intends to do a bad deed then (O Angels) do not write it unless he does it; if he does it, then write it as it is, but if he refrains from doing it for My Sake, then write it as a good deed (in his account). (On the other hand) if he intends to go a good deed, but does not do it, then write a good deed (in his account), and if he does it, then write it for him (in his account) as ten good deeds up to 700 times.' (Narrated Abu Huraira)

His Companions said: By Allah, even ordinary fire would have been enough (to burn people). Thereupon he said: It is sixty-nine parts in excess of (the heat of) fire in this world each of them being equivalent to their heat. Abu Huraira reported: We were in the company of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) that we heard a terrible sound. Thereupon Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Do you know what (sound) is this? We said: Allah and His Messenger know best. Thereupon he said: That is a stone which was thrown 70 years before in Hell and it has'been constantly slipping down and now it has reached its base.

Anas b. Malik reported Allah's Apostle having said: When the servant is placed in his grave and his companions retrace their steps arid he hears the noise of the footsteps, then two angels come to him and make him sit and say to him: What you have to say about this person (the Holy Prophet)? If he is d believer, lie would say: I bear testimony to the fact that he is a servant of Allah and His Messenger. Then it would be said to him: Look to your

seat in the Hell- Fire, for Allah has substituted (the seat of yours) with a seat in Paradise. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: He would be shown both the seats. Qatada said: It was mentioned to us that his grave (the grave of a believer) expands to 70 cubits and is full with verdure until the Day when they would be resurrected. It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari who said A man brought a muzzled she-camel and said: It is (offered) in the way of Allah. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: For this you will have 700 she-camels on the Day of Judgment all of which will be muzzled. Imran b. Husain reported that a woman from Juhaina came to Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) and she had become pregnant because of adultery. She said: Allah's Apostle, I have done something for which (prescribed punishment) must be imposed upon me, so impose that. Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) called her master and said: Treat her well, and when she delivers bring her to me. He did accordingly. Then Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) pronounced judgment about her and her clothes were tied around her and then he commanded and she was stoned to death. He then prayed over her (dead body). Thereupon Umar said to him: Allah's Apostle, you offer prayer for her, whereas she had committed adultery! Thereupon he said: She has made such a repentance that if it were to be divided among 70 men of Medina, it would be enough. Have you found any repentance better than this that she sacr ficed her life for Allah, the Majestic? .

Imam Muslim bin Al-Hajjaj recorded that Abdullah bin Mas`ud said that the Messenger of Allah said, Hell will be brought on near that Day (the Day of judgment) and it will have 70,000 leashes, and each leash will have 70,000 angels pulling it.
