CELEBRATING ARCHERY, THIS SUMMER
Archery, being the premier, futuristic sport gaining gradual popularity & the much needed addiction, VAYAM, is more than obliged to provide & cater to the archery junkies.
Early on, we started with 22 archers in a not-so-hip, town of Raipur in the state of Chhattisgarh, a few years ago with whatever equipment we could lay our hands on & produced 12 of the nest junior archers in the state who went on to win many medals for the state of Chhattisgarh. VAYAM, is again on its toes. This time to deliver unmatched archery performance on the national front by inclusive, step-by-step training for cadets & junior level students. This summer of 2010 is yet again packed with camps that hold indenite promise to search & bring to front, the archery talent from across the country. It is also noteworthy that VAYAMs Go-Gold: Olympics 2016 programme is functional & is in the Talent Selection phase till 2011, after which the Phase-II (Talent Grooming) phase would start. The talent spotted till the commencement of Phase-II, would undergo intensive archery training under international coaches & their performance would be calibrated to the existing & future international scores & standards. VAYAMs Archery camps are the rst exercise in the direction of spotting archery talents from across the country to be assessed & grooming them towards being Pioneer Archers, Medal Winning Olympians & thorough-bred Indian patriots, on whom the nation would dote.
