Grandparents Day I look forward to seeing all the grandparents and grandfriends on Monday. The assembly starts at 11:00 in the gym which will be followed by a visit in the classroom until 11:40. Big Event Volunteers Needed If you are willing to help out with our first quarter Big Event, please email camiwhite@nixaschools.net soon. We are working on getting the first event planned for October 12th, and these fun times run so much smoother when we have parents involved. We are looking for people who would be willing to help with all grade levels, starting at 8:45 and going until 11ish. Conferences- First quarter conferences are right around the corner. I will be holding traditional 15 minute private conferences. You should receive an email from Sign-up Genius requesting you to sign up for a time. My school number is: 417.449.3138. Multiplication Progress I have been so impressed by how quickly each student has been showing progress on our weekly multiplication timed test. After Thanksgiving, these tests will be counted for a grade. Facts must be mastered in order to move on successfully in math. Thanks for your help and support with this. Acuity Our class completed the first round of Acuity testing on the computer this week in both math and communication arts. I will be sharing these scores with you during conferences. I know that sitting and testing is never fun for anyone, however the students really did do well this week with the irregular schedule.
