Instructor Joe Clark, Principal Lab Technician at the Rutgers Turfgrass Research Farm, will combine classroom lectures with hands-on field demonstrations to provide you with essential turfgrass establishment skills including seeding rates, weed control, soil testing, fungicides, irrigation rates, and more.
Are you going green? The demand for organic turf continues to grow, but any successful organic turf management program must be built upon sound science-based principles and practices. This half-day program, led by Dr. James Murphy, Extension Specialist in Turf Management, and Brad Park, Sports Turf Education and Research Coordinator, will introduce and explain the science underlying a solid, sustainable organic turf program.
Bruce Neary takes the mystery out of soil science while energetically mixing in his love of horticulture. Hell show you how to identify and correct soil conditions that create plant problems, including the proper way to read, analyze, and correct pH levels.
