This is wonderful preparation for the Advent season. If you are interested, pick up a Sign-up Card from the Rectory, fill in your preferences and return it. Come Be with Jesus in Adoration

An invitation is extended to men and women of the parish (college age and older) to come to Adoration the First Friday of each month. Due to age, illness or relocation, participation at First Friday Adoration has dwindled. We have experienced insufficient attendance whereas a parishioner finds him or herself in church alone or no one shows up for the next hour. We particularly need more coverage during the late afternoon and early evening hours. Wont you please consider coming to the church for adoration one hour each month? Adoration begins after the 12:10 PM Mass and continues until Holy Hour between 8 PM and 9 PM and concludes with Benediction.

Come and quietly pray, perhaps say the Rosary or read an inspirational book. If you want to participate, Our Food Pantrys supplies of coffee, pancake and cake please call Arlene Hluch at 908 604 6674 to let her mixes and dish and laundry detergents are low. know which hour time slot you might be available. Take a Good Look at Us ow!

Over the Summer, there were lots of busy hands at work on the grounds of Our Lady of Peace. Our Garden Angels have outdone themselves. The parish grounds are beautiful. Our convent was refurbished and painted in anticipation of welcoming Dominican Sisters who will now call OLP home. The blue borders on the Church, Rectory and Convent were painted. Mulch was added in our playground area thanks to our young and very strong summer help! And of course, The Academy was spruced up awaiting the arrival of over 230 eager young students. THA K YOU to everyone who worked on these and numerous additional summer projects. We do appreciate all your efforts.

THE INTERVIEW WITH GOD

I dreamed I had an interview with God. So you would like to interview me? God asked. If you have the time I said. God smiled. My time is eternity. What questions do you have in mind for me? What surprises you most about humankind? God answered...That they get bored with childhood, they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again. That they lose their health to make money... and then lose their money to restore their health. That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither the present nor the future. That they live as if they will never die, and die as though they had never lived. Gods hand took mine and we were silent for awhile. And then I asked... As a parent, what are some of lifes lessons you want your children to learn? To learn they cannot make anyone love them. All they can do is let themselves be loved. To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others. To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness. To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them. To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least. To learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply have not yet learned how to express or show their feelings. To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently. To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves. Thank you for your time, I said humbly. Is there anything else you would like your children to know? GOD smiled and said, Just know that I am here...always.
