What is Baconfest USA? Baconfest USA creates chef-driven tasting events. Bacon is the featured ingredient in every dish and cocktail. Our festivals are paradise for bacon-lovers and the brands that love them. Sponsors Exhibiting sponsors at our events have a unique opportunity to connect with our guests with in-person, high-value experiential marketing. We donate a portion of proceeds from ticket sales, raf es and sponsor match programs to local food charities. Since 2009, Baconfest has raised over $85,000 and over 150,000 pounds of food generated from Baconfest events.

Our growth: Baconfest Chicago 2012 was our fourth event. Our rst event in October 2009 had 75 guests and 10 chefs. Our second event in April 2010 had 800 guests, 24 chefs, 5 liquor sponsors and 20 vendors. Our third event in April 2011 fed 1,600 guests with 56 chefs, 7 liquor sponsors and 21 vendors. Our fourth event in April 2012 fed 3,300 guests with 108 chefs, 10 liquor sponsors and 25 vendors. Our future: On the heels of our success in Chicago, Baconfest is expanding in 2013 with inaugural events in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco.

Baconfest is more than just a bacon-paradise. Our passion for bacon is matched only by our desire to make a difference in our community. In Chicago, we partner with the Greater Chicago Food Depository to help end hunger in Chicagoland. A portion of event proceeds go to support the Food Depository's programs. We run a food drive at the event; guests bring non-perishable contributions for the Food Depository to distribute to hungry people in our community. In addition, the Food Depository sells raf e tickets to our guests with prizes provided by our sponsors and partners. Here's a breakdown of our event's 2012 charitable impact 2012 Financial Impact $ 50,000 donated to the Food Bank from ticket proceeds. $ 2,660 revenue to the Food Bank from the sale of raf e tickets 2012 Impact Measured in Pounds of Food 2,298 pounds // amount of food donated by our guests 2.33 // pounds of food that the GCFD can buy with a dollar 116,500 // pounds of food that the Baconfest nancial contribution will buy 6,197 // pounds of food that can be purchased by GCFD with raf e proceeds 124,996 // total pounds of food made available to hungry Chicagoans by Baconfest Chicago 2012! Over four years, Baconfest has given over $85,000 to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Our nancial commitment, food drives, raf es, and sponsor commitments have made a total of 200,717 pounds of food available to hungry people in our community!
