-Decrease BP -Increase potassium -GI upset -facial/ angioedema -dizziness -cough -weakness -decrease renal function

Indication: -hypertensive -prevent CVA in HTN and LVH Contraindication: -patients who are hypersensitive to any component of the drug.

*Patient blood pressure is 200/110 160/90 Check: -Monitor patient closely in any situation that may lead to a decrease BP secondary to reduction in fluid volume excessive perspiration, dehydration, vomiting, and diarrhea excessive hypotension can occur

Antihypertensive Centrally acting -centrally acting antiadrenergic sympatholytic derivative. Stimulates alpha2adrenergic receptors in CNS to inhibit sympathetic vasomotor centers. Central actions reduce plasma concentrations of norepinephrine. It decreases systolic and diastolic BP and heart rate. Orthostatic effects tend to be mild and occur infrequently. Also inhibits

-Orthostatic decrease BP -bradycardia -Drowsiness -dizziness -light headedness -headache -weakness -dry mouth -GI upset -nightmares -impotence

Indication: - Essential renal and malignant hypertension Contraindication: -patient hypersensitive to clonidine

-Urinary retention -changes in vision -blanching of fingers -rash

Check: -History of hypersensitivity to clonidine -severe coronary insufficiency -recent MI -cerebrovascular disease -Monitor blood pressure and pulse rate -May be given rapidly lower blood pressure in some hypertensive emergencies -Rising slowly and avoid sudden position change to prevent orthostatic hypotension.

renin release from kidneys..

-Remove patch before defibrillation to prevent arcing *Patient has a hypertension stage two thus this drug is given to decrease his blood pressure.

Neurotonics

Citicoline is aninter neuronal communication enhancer. It increases the neurotransmission levels because it favors the synthesis and production speed of dopamine in the striatum, acting then as a dopaminergic agonist thru the inhibition of tyrosinehydroxylase

-Low blood pressure (faintness, dizziness) -Slow or fast heart beat -Headache -Nausea and Vomiting or diarrhea

Indication; CVD in acute & recovery phase, symptoms &signs of cerebral in sufficiency (dizziness, memory loss, poor concentration, disorientation, recent cranial trauma & their squeal.) Contraindication; Parasympathetic hypertonia

-Itching or hives -swelling in face or hands -tingling in your mouth or throat -chest tightness -trouble breathing -rash

Check: -hypersensitivity to citicholine - Somazine must not be administered along with medicaments containing meclophenoxate. *The patient has been stroke (patient who experience stroke usually has/had a speech problem) the patient had a speech difficulty, and is now diminished because of these drug.

-Skin rash -chest pain -fainting -severe headache -abnormal bleeding

Check for; -Allergy to clopidogel -recent surgery -hepatic impairment Physical: -skin color -temperature -lesions -BP -baseline ECG -adventitious sounds -Assess for symptoms of stroke, MI during treatment -Monitor liver function: creatinine if patient is on long-term therapy -Monitor blood

studies: CBC, Hgb, Hct, protime, cholesterol if the patient is on long-term therapy; thrombocytopenia and neutropenia may occur. *The patient experience stroke thus this drug is given to prevent MI
