    What happens after food goes into your stomach?


    Acids in your stomach along with muscles lining the outside of the stomach work together to make the food into a mush like substance. Cool fact: The stomachs acid is actully called hydrochloric acid.

    How does your body absorb the nutrients?


    After your stomach breaks your food down it goes into the small intestine and muscles push it through and nutrients get sucked out of the food and the waste and fat gets transferred to the liver to get ltered out.

    How does it then exit the body?


    After the small intestines the mush that was food has no nutrients left it goes onto the large intestine. This larger than the small intestine so the mush only needs a little bit of help from the muscles around the large intestine. In the large intestine the mush gets dried and then exits the body.

    What can you do?


    You can avoid stomach cancer by going to the doctor for check-ups, avoid smoking and an unhealthy diet. More cases are cued when doctors know if you have stomach cancer early on than later on.
