Introduction

Editorial Interface supports the selection, management, association, presentation, and behavior of content. These tools, while inter-related, will be built in phases with the initial phase to focus on highest business value tools. These are the major inter-related projects: Select Promote Publish (SPP) Create Manage Metadata Interface (CMM) Authoring Expert Interface Collection Configurator Presentation Interface Authoring (Social) Interface Select Promote Publish (SPP)- This interface would provide the single access point for managing a Knowledge Portal's content selection, promotion rules and content lifecycle. Create Manage Metadata Interface (CMM) - This would be an interface provided within the enterprise content management system for an authorized user to create, update and manage metadata. The Author Interface will support the creation of content by authorized users. This content is to be distinguished from that created using the "Social Authoring Interface" which supports a general audience wishing to contribute to a forum or blog. The two authoring interfaces are distinct from one another because the content created in each will be managed differently. The Presentation Editor will be the single access point for defining a Knowledge Portal product's portal pages and portlets.
