Chile Iron Oxide - Copper - Gold Belt

Chilean Metals (CMX) is a 100% owned subsidiary of International PBX Ventures. 100% owned large land holdings in the IOCG Belt of Chile prolific Iron Oxide - Copper - Gold (IOCG) Belt of Chile IOCG belt hosts numerous copper-gold deposits including Mantos Blancos, Manto Verde and Candelaria. The tremendous size, relatively simple metallurgy and relatively high grade of IOCG deposits can produce extremely profitable mines. CMX projects host drill ready large coppergold porphyries CMX plans to drill a large IOCG Porphyry target on Tierra de Oro in the 2012 season

Magnetite content (Iron) of IOCG systems generate a strong magnetic response. Airborne magnetics shows a strong magnetic response (IOCG) adjacent to the previously define porphyry system. IOCGs are clearly distinct in character and origin from magmatic hydrothermal systems (e.g., porphyries). Plan Map

IOCGs & Porphyries An Important Pair

IOCG & Porphyry Conceptual model (Barton and Johnson, 2000) that contrasts igneous-related mineral deposits dominated by: (1) magmatic hydrothermal fluids (on right, = porphyry type) with (2) those dominated by non-magmatic (external) brines (on left, = IOCG type). In many IOCG systems the predominant fluid source is a non-magmatic brine with Fe & base metals removed. Cu(-Au)-rich IOCG deposits will principally be a function of the availability of sulfur from an additional external source ie. nearby porphyry system.

Sierra Pintada Project

The Sierra Pintada property covers a 15 kilometer strike length of the north-southtrending Atacama Fault System that is known to host many of the major deposits in the Candelaria IOCG belt.

The property is readily accessible from the town of Vallenar 30 km to the east and is nearby to rail, roads, power, water and shipping port.

Sierra Pintada ZTEM Survey

Artisianal Workings

ZTEM Airborne deep penetration survey identifies Atacama fault system on Sierra Pintada. Two primary copper and gold-bearing mineralised structures,Via and Gloria, each at least 15 kilometres in length and 50 to 200 metres in width. Wherever these structures emerge from beneath overburden they are the centers of numerous prospect pits, adits and shafts to depth of 50 metres on high grade Cu-Au (Ag,+/-Co) and Au-Cu (Ag) fissure veins from 1-5 metres in width.
