Nadi Amsa 4 Kalakuta

This is the fourth Nadi Amsa in the Nadi scheme covering 0:36 to 0:48 in a moveable sign, 29:12 to 29:24 in a fixed sign and 15:37 to 15:48 in a common sign. One born in the first part of this Amsa is lean, short tempered and somewhat unbalanced and a worshipper of Shiva. He is born in a big town on the banks of a river, the house he is born in being situated in a street running north-south. He has three brothers, one of whom dies while on a pilgrimage. His wife even after attaining maturity lives with her parents and not with the native. He has a sister, beautiful but of loose character. She leaves her husband and lives with a rich lover in a far-off place. At 12, he goes to a distant place and lives there. Not being able to earn anything, he returns to his native place after sometime. Father is a petty landholder. The native falls into evil company and associates with lower class women. At 24, he takes to farming and petty trade in his own place. He is not fortunate but is sinful. He often resorts to thieving and deceit. He marries at 22, gets daughter at 26 and a son at 30. The children also specialize in thieving. His daughter is a kidnapped by his own uncles son. His son, however, marries in his own caste. He is looked down by all his relatives because of his character and anti-social activities. He is incarcerated for 7 years and 7 months when he is 40 if Rahu or Saturn joins the Navamsa Lagna (Ascendant). After his release he leads the life of a chandala (depraved person). At 52 he is again imprisoned. At 60, he dies in prison. Birth in the first part of Kalakuta is not generally favoured as it indicates unfavourable results. One born in the second part of this Amsa is a Brahmin of fair-complexion. Inclined towards slight corpulence, his father is a fortunate person. He is born in a village on the banks of river, in the house of his grandfather. He becomes a village-head and earns the goodwill of the people. He has two brothers and three sisters. His father is humble, of right conduct, truthful and a farmer. The father dies when the native is aged 25. The mother lives as a widow for a long time. He marries at 30. At 23, his wife suffers from a serious eye complaint and becomes blind. At 22, he gets a son and at 25, a daughter. He lives as the head of the village and incurs the wraths of local sinners and rowdies. He lives in dread because of his enmity with the toughies of his place. At 44, he gets involved in serious litigation. He will be imprisoned at 45 for a period of 7 years. He is released in his 53rd year. He lives for some time with his family and children. At 67, he falls ill. For three months, he suffers from mahodara (dropsy) and then dies in sorrow. This tragedy will be due to the affliction of Mars. The above results are on the basis of Dhruva Nadi. Birth in a Kalakutamsa is said to confer miseries, poverty, imprisonment and misfortunes. The Sukra Nadi gives additional details of a more interesting nature. According to Sukra Nadi, the evil results arising from Kalakutamsa gets cancelled if Jupiter occupies either the Navamsa of Aquarius or Nadi Amsa of Sudha or the Lagna (Ascendant) is Aries or the Moon is in Aries. When the Moon is in Aries, Leo or Sagittarius, he will live for 76 years, he will be seriously ill at 37 and at 60. His father is famous, highly intelligent, has a lean body, devoted to Brahmins and Gods. The native has little happiness in his childhood. Middle age makes him fortunate. Acquisition of lands and houses occurs after marriage. He earns a lot by trade in metals (metallurgy industry) and gets political fame. In his old age he has happiness from children. Father dies in the inter-period (Antara) of Mercury in the sub-period of Saturn and the Dasa of the 4th Nakshtra. He faces danger to health at the end of Moon Dasa provided at the time Saturn transits Aries. The mother is long-lived and devoted to her husband. She will die in the

inter-period of Saturn, sub-period of Jupiter in the Dasa of the 4th Nakshtra. He has an elder and a younger brother, both of whom are long-lived. Two sisters live long. The exact number of brothers should be ascertained on the basis of Ashtakavarga Prasthara. If Rahu and Saturn are conjoined, he is an expert in Mantra Sastra. Reserved in nature his mind is not pure. He prospers after 23. He enters politics and becomes influential by 27. This Yoga continues uninterrupted for 12 years. Till 40, he lives in a Punya Desa (holy place) and then gets back to his native place. By 50, he is a force reckon with. His father becomes famous when the native is running the 2nd Dasa. In the 3rd Dasa, the elder brother becomes prosperous and famous and the native starts making progress. In his own sub-period (3rd Dasa), the native marries a beautiful and high-class girl. If Venus and Sun are in mutual aspect, he goes after other women. He has few children. But by making Nagapratishta, he gets issues. Four sons and one daughter live long. In the 4th Dasa he is conferred Governmental honours. If Kahala Yoga is present, the 5th Dasa will be highly fruitful. He becomes famous in foreign countries in the Dasa of the Ascendant lord. The prosperity is equally pronounced in the Dasa of Rahu. In the 7th Dasa, in the sub-period and inter-period of Venus when the sub-period and inter-period of Venus when the Sun transits Pisces and the Moon is waxing, the native passes away in the Ascendant of Pisces. The happening of events when the ruling stars are Bharani etc., will be dealt with in a subsequent issue. There is a suggestion in both Dhruva and Sukra Nadis, that when the first part of Kalakutamsa is rising, birth takes place in a big town in a hilly country while in the second part, the place of birth will be a small town near a sea coast or a river-bed.
