The Pharmaceutical segment includes products in the following therapeutic areas: antiinfective, antipsychotic, cardiovascular, contraceptive, dermatology, gastrointestinal, hematology, immunology, neurology, oncology, pain management, urology and virology. These products are distributed directly to retailers, wholesalers and health care professionals for prescription use by the general public. MEDIICAL DEVIICES AND DIIAGNOSTIICS

The Medical Devices and Diagnostics segment includes a broad range of products used rincipally in the professional fields by physicians, nurses, therapists, hospitals, diagnostic laboratories and clinics. Two groups exist within the segment. The Surgical Care Group is taking an integrated approach to meeting the needs of surgical patients and surgeons and offers orthopaedic joint reconstruction and spinal care products, wound care and womens health products, and minimally invasive surgical products. The diabetes, cardiovascular, diagnostics and eye health businesses of the Comprehensive Care Group are examining the needs of patients, from wellness and prevention to disease management and treatment, and offer circulatory disease management products, blood glucose monitoring and insulin delivery products, professional diagnostic products, and disposable contact lenses. The Medical Devices and Diagnostics franchises of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies comprise the worlds largest medical technology business. Ethicon Ethicon, a franchise of Johnson & Johnson Medical, India, is the largest manufacturer of surgical sutures with a wide variety of suture materials and needle sizes to meet the requirement of every Surgical speciality. Ethicon has recently introduced Vicryl Plus which offers protection against bacterial colonization. This is the worlds first Antibacterial suture 2. Ethicon endo surgery Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc., manufactures and markets advanced surgical instruments for videoscopic and traditional surgery. The Harmonic Scalpel is one such cutting and coagulating device, which reduces the need for blood transfusion. In the treatment of Piles, Ethicon Endo surgery devices allow the patient to be discharged with minimal pain unlike with other devices. The Mammotome Breast Biopsy System is a minimally invasive, highly accurate product for helping doctor's diagnose breast cancer at the earliest stages. 3. Cordis Following its mission statement, Cordis has constantly improved medical technology in order to minimize invasiveness and recovery time, while promoting patient comfort. The recent Drug Eluting Stent, CypherTM was a revolution, which changed the paradigm of treating cardiac patients and offers significant treatment options to the medical fraternity. CARTOTM XP, the 3D imaging system for the heart, shifted Electro-physiologists' outlook of treating patients with faster heart rhythms from conventional modes. With its technological edge on superior products, it has strived to be competitive in the market place by retaining a good Market Share in volumes and value, creation of great brands, and high levels of customer satisfaction. 4. Depuy DePuy is a leader in every product category that they operate in, such as knee implants (PFCTM Sigma the biggest selling knee implant), hip and spine implants etc. The knee implant portfolio has the widest range including the revolutionary Preservation UniTM Compartmental Knee which has recently been launched. This product is primarily for

younger patients who may suffer from ailments such as rheumatoid arthritis leading to half of the knee getting damaged. 5. Gynecare ThermaChoiceTM Uterine Balloon Therapy system: More than 1 out of every 5 women suffers from heavy periods. ThermaChoiceTM Uterine Balloon Therapy is a therapy for treatment of heavy periods for women who have completed childbearing. It is a simple, 30-minute procedure that requires no hospital stay. The procedure uses heat to treat the endometrium lining (lining of the uterus). Tension-free Vaginal Tape (TVTTM): Tension-free Vaginal Tape (TVTTM) offers women suffering from sudden urine loss a simple, one-time solution. This outpatient procedure is performed under local anesthesia and has been proven to effectively treat SUI. 6. Life scan For more than two decades, LifeScan has been committed to improving the quality of life for people with diabetes.
