Welcome to Tanglin Trust School Welcome


It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the 2012 SEASAC Girls Football Tournament at Tanglin Trust School. We are delighted to be hosting this years event and hope that it will give all participants the opportunity to compete to the best of their ability, interact and make friends from other countries and create lasting memories. Our thanks and appreciation go to all the visiting coaches and players for the time and commitment they have put into preparing for this years tournament and we are proud to be hosting what we are sure will be an exciting and competitive event. I would also like to thank Colin Morris, our Director of Sports and Activities, along with enormous support from Susan Totton, Shared Services Manager, the PE Department and numerous staff, students and parents from the Tanglin community for their help in organising this years tournament. Over the years, this meeting has grown into a high-level, competitive event which also showcases the commendable sportsmanship and skill that these young women possess. Indeed, it is these aspects of the womens game which has led to such a fast rise in its popularity both nationally and internationally. Saturday, 3 November 7.30am - Teams warm up 8.00am - Tournament recommences 5.30pm - Tournament finishes for the day 6.30-8.30pm - Gala Dinner and Presentations at the Berrick Performance Hall, Tanglin Trust School 8.30pm - Return buses to the hotel 7.30am - Check out of the hotel 8.00am - Teams warm up 8.30am - Tournament recommences 11.00am - Tournament closes 11.30am - Closing ceremony and Prizes given out at the Sports Ground Teams to return to Tanglin Trust Campus to await collection and transport.

Sunday, 4 November

General Information
Campus Security Coaches will be issued identification badges that should be worn at all times while on the Tanglin Trust School Campus and Sports Complex. If asked, visiting students should identify themselves as tournament participants, offering their schools name. Teams must take responsibility for their own valuables. The lost and found will be based in the main club house during tournament hours, after tournament hours uncollected items will be placed at the Junior School entrance of the school (Gate C). If you have lost or found either personal belongings or school equipment, please notify Colin Morris, Director of Sports and Activities on +65 93393170 or Susan Totton, Shared Services Manager on +65 98447637. Awards Sportsmanship and Most Valuable Player awards will be given out at the Gala Dinner. Tournament medals will be awarded at the end of the weekend.

General Information
Gala Dinner The gala dinner will take place in the Berrick Performance Hall at Tanglin Trust School Campus. As we are running the tournament in conjunction with UWC Dover, the SEASAC Boys teams will join us for the Dinner & Presentation awards. As it is not practical to return to the hotel before dinner, there will be provision made to shower on site or at the Tanglin campus. Caf Vive (in the Sixth Form Centre at Tanglin) will also be open for a pre-dinner gathering. Meals Athletes will be offered breakfast at the hotel. Lunch will be provided at Tanglin Trust Sports Complex between 11.00am-2.30pm. Coaches Area Tanglin will be providing a hospitality tent for Coaches, where snacks, lunch and other refreshments will be served. Showers There are showers and changing facilities at the Tanglin Trust Sports Complex. Water Water will be available on the field for all participants and coaches. Team Photographs Team photos will be scheduled sometime during the first day of the tournament. T-Shirts SEASAC T-shirts will be given out at the Tanglin Trust Sports Complex. Medical There will be a paramedic and ambulance available on site at all times. An adult from your school must be available to accompany any of your players requiring treatment. The Tournament Directors, Colin Morris and Mark Andrews must be notified of any athlete who is required to leave the campus for treatment. SEASAC Tournament Rules


Rules of Play All F.I.F.A. rules and regulations are in force with the following SEASAC modifications, as applicable for 7-a-side, with no off-side. Number of Participants 12 players and 2 coaches Pitch Will be a 60m x 40m minimum All pitches used should be of similar size The goal will be full size as per regulation 11-a-side football Format The tournament will be played over 2 days, with a round robin, cross over semi-finals plus finals. Please note the tournament format may change if the weather causes long delays All matches will consist of 2 periods of 20 minutes and 5 minutes half time Kick-offs are indirect Rolling subs will be used throughout the tournament Scoring 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw If teams are tied on points scored at the end of the round robin stage their position will be decided by: Head to head Goals difference (only plus 4 to count) Goals scored (only plus 4 to count) Goals against (only minus 4 to count) Once a tie break has been resolved additional ties will be resolved in the same format using the same sequence of procedures beginning with the head to head result Semi Final Rounds During the semi-final rounds, (Cup, Plate and Bowl), if there is a tie at the end of the game, extra time of 2 periods of 5 minutes with teams swapping ends at half time - will be played with Golden Goal deciding the winner. If no Golden Goal has been scored at the end of extra time, the outcome of the game will be decided by penalties - first 3 allotted kicks, followed by sudden death shoot out Violations Yellow Card - if a player gets a 2nd yellow card they miss the next match including playoff matches. At the semi final stage yellow card count begin again Red Card - if received, the player automatically misses the following match. The Tournament Director has the authority to suspend the player for the remainder of the tournament if deemed necessary. If a player receives a red card they are not entitled to receive a Tournament Award (this is under the Tournament Directors discretion).

Venue and Location Tanglin Trust School (TTS)


All fixtures will be played at the Tanglin Trust Sports Complex, at Jalan Hang Jebat, off Portsdown Avenue.

Please note: As United World College are hosting the SEASAC Boys Football tournament, there will be shuttle bus running between the TTS Sports Complex and UWC Dover Campus to allow the girls and boys teams to watch each other compete. These will run continuously on all days, however, it is the coaches responsibility to ensure their team is present at the field of play in plenty of time to start the fixture if they choose to leave TTS.

Venue and Location Warming Up


The warm up areas are only to be used by the teams who are playing in the game directly after the one in progress. Please can coaches ensure that the participating teams only use the designated warm up areas. Please do not warm up on the track in studded football boots. Players Stand

Dear SEASAC Participants and Coaches, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for attending this fantastic event. Without your participation, sportsmanship, dedication and enthusiasm, this competition simply would not be the great occasion that it is.
