Hingga saat ini , kebanyakan dari pengusaha-pengusaha industri rumah tangga yang membuat emping melinjo masih memakai cara manual. Cara tersebut dilakukan karena menurut mereka hal itu yang paling efisien, mudah dan sederhana. Meskipun dalam pengerjaannya dibutuhkan waktu kurang lebih 30 detik untuk memproduksi 15 biji melinjo menjadi satu emping dan ketidakseragaman bentuk emping yang menjadikan kami berinisiatif untuk mengembangkan proses pembuatan emping ini agar lebih seragam dalam dimensi sehingga dapat meningkatkan produktufitas industri kecil tersebut. Rancang bangun mesin ini menggunakan sistem hidrolik dan gilingan sebagai alat pembantu sebelum dilakukannya pengepresan. Dari analisa yang dilakukan diperoleh kesimpulan yaitu : silinder yang digunakan berdiameter 40mm, pompa berkapasitas rev cm3 3,42 dan motor listrik 0,5 HP/0,37KW dengan putaran 1400 rpm.

Until this time, most of the home industry how produce emping melinjo still used a manual way. They do that way because they think that is the most efficient, easy and simple way although it needs 30 second to produce 15 melinjo fruit to become a emping melinjo. And ununiform of emping melinjo made us to expand this emping melinjo process become uniform product so we can make the productivity of that home industry better than before.This machine design will use a hydraulic system and a screw extruder to become a tool for make this pressing process besome easier. From our analysis we conclude that we will make a 40mm diameter of hydraulic silinder, a hydraulic pump with rev cm3 3,42 capacity and a 0,5 HP/0,37 KW electric motor which have 1400 revolution per minute.
