In short, love and hope trumped fear 17 and panic, and nobody had to perish! 18 19 20 21 As we enter our 23rd year of educating the community about life-af rming alternatives, we are pleased to announce the expansion of our lifeaf rming care for pregnant women. I learned that God can forgive me. I like that they provide Bible study; that is a very good thing. I was comfortable to open up; the lady was easy to talk to. My advisor listened well, was respectful, and concerned about me. Not being judged and having the freedom and being able to speak. Positive attitude, very encouraging, yet straight to the point. She gave me a lot of advice about choosing not to be sexually active. Bibles Given: 51 Talked to me about my options and services that could help me. The receptionist was very nice and welcoming. Metro Womens Center provides referrals for free educational ultrasounds for women who are undecided or abortion-determined about their pregnancies. An ultrasound helps the mother see her unborn childs movements in her womb and hear her babys heartbeat. This is a life-af rming experience for an abortion-minded woman. Four women accessed free ultrasounds through the Center this year and all chose life! The Acacia Fund, MWCs client assistance fund, distributed over $1,387 in nancial assistance for rent, car seats, and other client needs. 76 families initially enrolled in the HOPE Program with 40 families actively participating in the program. These families received baby clothing, equipment, 9 Pack & Plays, 10 infant car seats, and more then 200 packages of diapers. Through our partnerships with the Cradle of Hope Motherhood Fund and the Life Fund, 15 mothers received over $6,345 in rental assistance.
