You are now going to let the ideas and journey of your precious life weave a new thread into the tapestry of your experience as a successful book writer. It is a beautiful thing to get your creative mind to bring joy and light to others. Even if you have this course simply to become better with marketing and blog writing, my prayer is that there may be an increase of inspiration, abundance and joy into your wonderful life and that all of your life experiences be harmonious, happy and prosperous. This PDF is to accompany some of the teleconference calls plus it also has some pages to accompany videos one, two and three. We also have some extra information that was not in the audio files that will assist you for example we have added, how to format your book etc. This PDF covers just the main information and resources to help you work along with the recordings. It is of course suggested that you do listen to the audio teleconference MP3s or these notes will not be clear enough. This will assist you with what I discussed on the videos on how to write your books. How to Write a Book/Videos section I have in the following pages all the main ingredients and information covered on the videos to help you have more clarity for YOU to get your books written and out the door! This is a VERY exciting step for you to take and IF you have already written books there may be some new and unique ideas I have created to help you write more efficiently and with much more speed, joy and enthusiasm and EASE! The question is: Do you have a book in you? Well, I feel that everybody has a book in them. Its just a matter of when youre going to write it. Do you have experience or expertise in some particular area? What about all your spiritual studies, all the knowledge, all your life experience, the things that have helped you in life? Perhaps youre a computer programmer, youve been in sales, you know how to open a restaurant or a hairdressing salon. I feel that everybody has a book in them. Perhaps its a how-to book, or it could be an audio program or video/DVD. Its such a wonderful way to help your business AND it will bring you credibility in the marketplace. So lets begin with booksafter all this is this topics title! This is the same process you would go through if your were writing an audio program or a video. This will help you be very clear and totally professional. Even IF you do not think you have a book to write the exercises you will be doing here will help you gain so much clarity on what you do want to do. I have had MANY people complete this exercise really not thinking they had a book in them and ended up writing books very quickly with more enthusiasm that they even knew they had. If you do wish to write a book, I have some simple examples to help you get started OR to quickly improve the writing you are presently doing.
First of all, make a decision on what it is you choose to write about. For example, if I was in network marketing (multilevel marketing), and Id been in the business for a while and had success, I know that having a book on how to have a successful network marketing business would be tremendous for adding publicity and credibility about who I am. This can be handed out and also sold through your own Website, or other websites including Amazon.com, and through many other areas. If you do choose to self-publish your own book, which I believe is a wonderful, freeing way to begin a writing career, well be covering that topic later on in the How to Self-Publish, MP3 audio segment. On this page, write down areas of experience in your life. List five areas of experience you have in life. For example: I have studied many spiritual books and been to many seminars and feel that I have a great metaphysical self-help book in me. I have experienced a great deal of success in sales, and would like to write a book on sales. I have a great deal of experience on how to bring up children as a single parent . These are just a few examples to get you started, because starting is what it is all about. Go ahead and fill in at least five areas that you have experience in from career related experience to your personal and home life. Now go the next page and write your own.

Next, pick your number one area. NUMBER ONE AREA I WOULD LIKE TO WRITE ABOUT:

Okay, now you have the area you would like to write about. Whether it is fiction, non-fiction, a how-to book, or a workbook, an audio program or even a video/DVD, I suggest that you write down some ideas for your title. It makes it very, very easy. Write down five ideas now, just off the top of your head. Dont get too much into your left brain. Let the ideas flow through your right brain, and just write down anything you think of. For example: How to Bring up Children as a Single Parent How to Increase Your Sales How to Eat a Healthy Diet in the Fast-Food Lane of Life. Now go to the next page and allow the ideas flow and just write down anything you think of first.

Okay great!! Now you have some ideas! These are just working book title ideas; they are not in stone, they are not it yet. (Or one may be ) This is just to get your juices/passion up and your creativity flowing. Later, you will come up with a great subtitle. These days, you can have quite an esoteric book title, but have your subtitle let the reader know whats in it for them, what the benefits are. For example, you will notice that all my MusiVation products have a very dynamic subtitle. In my audio program, Be Your Perfect Weight, the subtitle is Dynamic Psychological Breakthrough in Weight Control. As another example, the title of my 5-CD audio program is Affirmation Power, and the subtitledone as a top of the title subtitleis Be A Magnet to Success through [then the title] Affirmation Power. My book, Conversations on Money, Sex, and Spirituality is subtitled How to Attract Multi-Dimensional Abundance in Your Life. My Book with Bob Proctor Become A Magnet To Money Through The Sea Of Unlimited Consciousness. As you can see from these examples, if you show the people whats in it for them through a subtitle, then they know you have a magnetic, powerful book before theyve even started reading it. Some of my titles are whats in it for them, as well. For example an audio program I did with Bob Proctor Become A Magnet to Money is the title, so thats basically telling them whats in it for them. And then our subtitle is Dynamic Psychological Breakthrough in How to Attract Money. So having a double whammy in two very strong areas is very powerful. Number one, your book title is telling them whats in it for them, and your subtitle is telling them whats in it for them. However, that is simply your title. Now for the exciting part! You are now going to write your table of contents. I suggest you write ten areas, or ten chapters. This is a little more challenging if youre writing fiction, however, I feel that just writing down ten ideas for your chapters or your book topics to start with helps tremendously in getting the juices flowing and keeps everything in Divine Order. You will see this clearly later on, after you write your ten topics.
Go ahead now and write ten topics on the next page. For example, if you were to write a book about sales, you could start your topics with: Is Money Everything? Love Your Customers Have a Positive Attitude How to Keep Keeping On Look Ahead, Not Behind
These are just a few ideas of book/product topic contents. Write down ten areas NOW!! Sometimes people find such a great topic idea doing this that IT ends up being their new title, straight from their table of contents. Now go to the next page and create!

The next suggestion Im going to share with you on how to write a book, IS so SIMPLE. It came to me back when I wrote my first book, as I could not type, as I mentioned on the video #2. I just find it so EASY to write a book or an audio program this way with my secret formula. What I do, and what I suggest you do, is so very easy and fun for you (because remember, writing a book is FUN! Please write ten questions for each topic. With these ten questions, ask a friend to interview you and treat it as if they are someone who is a TV or radio show host who is really interested in that particular topic in your table of contents, especially if its a how-to book or a non-fiction book. Simply write out the questions; these will be questions that you will answer for all areas that you already know about. Then, I suggest you start reading a lot of books about that particular topic and getting a lot of information into your mind. You already have a lot of information in your sub-conscious mind that is just waiting to be released when its needed. With these questions, get a very good friend to interview you. Pretend its an interview show. Get a tape recorder, get them to ask you the questions, and then you just flow with it. Just answer the questions; dont be nervousno ones out there listening to this! Its just you! Ask your friend to please be very focused and not agree or disagree, or say, Oh, yeah, that happened to me, too. They are going to be a professional interviewer and simply be there, asking the questions. When youre finished with one answer, they will ask you the next question. Do this for each topic; its so much fun! Next, type up whats on the tape for each topic (or have someone type it for you). Finally, take out all of the questions; then just leave your answers. Then you have a whole chapter or topic for your table of contents done. Do this for all ten areas. Do not edit as you go, just take out the questions. Once all ten topics have been done, go back and start typing. Add areas that you may not have had handy when answering the questions, for example, you may want to quote a particular person in your book. You may want to speak of the story of a successful person
in your book. You can add that in later. What is very important to remember, whether you use this interview technique or simply go ahead and just write, is that you go ahead and just write! Every time you give yourself time to write, it doesnt matter what you write, as long as you write. Dont edit as you go. The editing can be done later. Too many people will never finish a book because they feel each area or every sentence has to be perfect as they go. Again, I repeat, DO NOT EDIT until you have finished and you have all the information written. Now you have your story/product written! Then edit later. Dont even edit each chapter as you go. Just get every chapter written; finish that book. The editing can be done later, either by you or by a professional. I also feel its wonderful, if its a non-fiction book, to write stories about how other people conquered those particular topics. Perhaps you can even interview some well-known celebrities. A lot of wellknown, successful writers and entrepreneurs want extra publicity. And, it is free publicity for you. So, go ahead and contact these people. Youll be surprised who knows whom. Email out to a whole group of friends, Hey, does anybody know Richard Branson? Hey, does anybody know blah, blah, blah? Hey, does anyone know Melanie Griffith? Youll be surprised how many people will know someone who knows them. You know, they say, and I agree with this, you know who they arethey are us! They, (us), say you are only four phone calls away from any person you would like to meet. And I do agree with this. Sometimes it may be five or six, but very rarely. Just take some action. It is also a very good idea to write little example stories of the success of others or conduct a short interview with the actual people. You can mention on your book cover that these people are included. And then, at the end of the book, you can mention the persons book and their Website and their contact information. People love this; its free publicity. I have been interviewed for many, other books. People always put my contact numbers; I love it! I would do it for anybody. If anyone wants to interview me, I do it. Anybody will do the same thing. Its a very rare person who wont do it. This way you also you get to be networking and meeting great people while youre doing interviews. Priceless!!!! Call some people youve always loved to
meet. Its so good to always remember to be in the consciousness of the people who are already doing what you want to do.
How To Write Books of FICTION
If its a fictional book youre writing, storyboard it. I suggest you create a mind map as I mentioned in more detail on Video#3 and you can see above. Put your main character in the middle and get all the characters to shoot off from your main character with pictures of what you feel your characters look like. For example, if it were Gone with the Wind, then Gone with the Wind would be in the circle in the middle. Then a little balloon off from that would be Main Character Heroine. If you know you want a heroine, think of a name for your heroine. Offshoot thatwhat century is it written in? Is it Sci-Fi, or is it back in the history books of the 1400s? Storyboard all your characters. What type of characters they are, their characteristics, what type of personalities and looks? Allow the story to take on its own vision and flow. When you storyboard, mind map a fictional book, and put it up on the wall, it really gives you
access to great ideas, because youre mystically saying to the Universe, This is what I want to write aboutgive me ideas. And it will come to you!
Book Formatting
First go to page set up. If for example your book was a 6 x 9 book, you will go into the margins section in page formats. You will then make it 0.75 for the top 0.75 for the bottom 0.75 for the left 0.75 for the right and for the gutter 0.00 for your Header and Footer 0.5 then you click OK Next you open your page set up again and you are going to go to your layout page. In your layout page it will header footer and even. Check on different for first page. You are going to make the sections check on NEW Page. If you are creating an ebook get some great covers go to http://www.virtual-cover-creator.net/ Then you are ready to write your book in the size your book will be printed. This will save a LOT of time late when formatting so decide what size you book will be at the beginning. Of course it is also simple to create an ebook. It is best to create it in PDF. Use Adobe Acrobat Pro Software to add links for your ebooks and then your reader can go straight to your chapters. Word can also do this but we prefer this software. Saves time. This will help you be very clear and totally professional.

You can have your ebook sold to so many different distribution channels internationally. For those who wish to have distribution of your downloadable e audio books. We go through Audible.com and Learn Out Loud. They are both TERRIFIC!! If you want to get your ebooks into libraries we suggest you contact www.ContentReserve.com. Now let us begin with my story about Amazon, and I am not speaking about my adventures in the jungle, although we can get lost if we are new to this particular Amazon. I have been with Amazon.com for approx 12 years. Nearly back to the beginning of Amazon.com. I love working with Amazon. They are always wonderful. I find its a great and amazing way to not only sell your books and other products, but it is also terrific publicity and especially wonderful for self published authors. Now the first time I did an ebook for my own sites was about 7 years ago. But then a few years ago when we had completed the How To Become A Magnet To Hollywood Success Book I noticed that Amazon had a section about ebooks but I could not seem to find a way to get them to sell my e-books even though they sell all my other products and figured perhaps they are using a different company which indeed yes they are. So immediately I contacted them so that we could have our ebook sold on Amazon. Now some things go very quickly with Amazon, and some things very slow. Its like anything worthwhile, if you hold your big vision and you stay persistent with the projects you have created and the goals that you have set all is possible. Keep in mind your big vision and always have a Mission/Vision statement created and written out. Our big vision at MusiVation International is to help millions of people worldwide have their divine spark ignited, and therefore their God
given potential, which is unlimited, and purpose awakened and joyfully realized. So the book How To Become A Magnet To Hollywood Success was as far as I was concerned extremely important in our big Vision because entertainers, musicians, and creators of film are an extremely important component to bringing light and joy to every individual on this planet. And these people, the so called entertainers of the world, are rarely if ever supported by family as the average person feels that it is not a real job to be an entertainer. Even some wonderful spouses worry when their husband or wife wishes to write their own book. I guess they are in fear that their spouse will LEAVE their real job. So, for whatever fearful reason some people do not like their loved ones doing something new, especially if it is through their own creative heart pursuits, but it does seem to happen a lot. I interviewed so many remarkable, heart driven, and truly awakened directors, actors, producers, and writers in the film and TV industry who have created their success through faith, a great attitude, and in some cases definitely following the universal Laws of Attraction and studying metaphysics. Their advice from their lifetime of experience and success was and is not only priceless, it is also extremely inspiring for the beginner or for the actor or writer who loves what they do -wont do anything else- and yet perhaps have not had the success they desire YET! This book inspires and advises them how to do it! And how to keep on keeping on to SUCCESS with joy! But enough about the book. As you can see I am totally in love with what I do. Lets talk about how we got the book to become an ebook on Amazon. Well you may say, I have been to Amazon.com. You just go to their Kindle thang. Yes, you can and please do, but there is Much more to it if you also want a MUCH larger customer base, as
ONLY the customers who have the Kindle hardware can read your ebooks, so you need more. A couple of years ago I spoke to one of the marketing people at Amazon over the phone, which in itself is quite a feat to get an Amazon person on the phone. She told me that they were going to do all their ebooks using MobiPocket which is based in France. She also told me they would be doing all the audio books as well - which we have since found out is not actually what they are doing and we will let you know how to also get your e audio books and audio products sold on Amazon and other websites but that is also on the audio teleconference MP3 which is part of this beloved Book Writing course. Now you may ask yourself, why am I speaking about what we went through at MusiVation to get these projects finished and done instead of getting to the ABC of it all right now? Well my dears, there are two reasons for this Number 1: To inspire you to realize that when you have a big vision, some things along the path could very well be challenging, so youve got to hang in there with a smile on your face and not allow yourself to become disappointed. As disappointment will only lead you down the not so merry path of inertia, bitterness, and eventually you will forget about your big vision. Number 2: When we do get to the step-by-step part of the ABCs of how to do it, you will be more inclined to go for it knowing we have done the hardest parts for you. If you are a more right-brained person you may, after hearing what we went through to get this information, now welcome all the details to come. So say right now, I Can Do This. Its just step-by-step. I am intelligent, I am enthusiastic, and this is helping me towards my big vision. I am going to accomplish this and get my book and products out to the world. Ok, so back to our story I did exactly what the girl at Amazon told me to do which was to FedEx to France the products I wanted MobiPocket to turn into ebooks for Amazon. I had to send it to them in many different forms
including hard copies, explanations, past history with Amazon, etc., and on and one it went After two weeks I called MobiPocket in France and left a lovely message on their French voicemail. Jmapelle Michele. Please, please email me. Call me back. Did you get my package? This went on for the next six months. Amazon told me to send more products to France, and different forms. Yet I did not receive one word back from MobiPocket. So then I began my regular emails to Amazon asking yet again how I can get my ebooks with them. Eventually (persistence pays off) they let us know that they are still working with MobiPocket, knew nothing about why I was asked to send things to France as that is not how they are doing it. But kindly gave us the links to the different people we were supposed to go to for instructions on how to do it as my original guess that they had used a different company was correct. Of course now Amazon has The Kindle Device. This device reads ebooks on its own called (reader version of an ipod but just does ebooks). The difference between MobiPocket and Amazons Kindle is that on MobiPocket, they will sell your ebook through their own website thats affiliated with Amazon and hundreds of other retailers on the net worldwide. Kindle is an electronic ebook reader that you may purchase ebooks from Amazon.com or off of the Kindle itself and have it sent immediately, wirelessly to your Kindle. So basically two different retail outlets. You may ask, well why go to MobiPocket to start with? MobiPocket will distribute ebooks through their particular software that you have to submit your ebook through. You cannot just give them your e-book format in PDF, word, or whatever. MobiPocket then will distribute your books many, many other different retail websites including Amazon.com so its worth it. Now this was again not just a simple little thing to get our e-book into the format MobiPocket needed. What we are going to share with you now is what we did and how you can do IT. One of the reasons why the formatting did take a while with our book is because How To
Become A Magnet To Hollywood Success book is graphically intensive with our pictures and diagrams, has many different formatting styles and different fonts. This slowed down the process of conversion from our format to their format. You must of course have an ISBN number and retail price if this is a first time ebook publication.
Step-by-Step Instructions on How To Publish Books Through MobiPocket and Kindle

1. PC Only with XP or Windows 2000 (Mac users must be able to run windows) 2. Go To http://www.mobipocket.com 3. Scroll down to Publisher portion on left hand side. Click on Welcome Page to view publisher agreement, login, and help files. 4. Click apply now. Agree to terms and conditions after youve read the agreements. 5. Youll need to give your bank details or paypal information for them to pay you from sales. Wire transfers cost more than paypal. 6. Now you fill out the form. They will need General Contact Information on this application page. Once done we found we received our confirmation email in minutes even though it says it could take a couple of hours to confirm your acct. 7. Once logged on you can view at any time your sales reports, monies owed monies received, all your active ebooks you have uploaded, and you can change your account information. All these options are on this page. 8. If you click on Conversion at the top or Conversion services on the left hand side once logged in, youll see some information about converting files to a MobiPocket file. Other companies can do this for you as well however you will need to pay for this service OR do it yourself. 9. Go to http://www.mobipocket.com/en/DownloadSoft/DownloadCreator.asp to download conversion software if doing it yourself. 10. Once installed open software. On right hand side choose option to import from: text file, html file, PDF, doc. HTML is easiest as this is what the output file will be until you actually publish your file or upload your book. If you do to know
html you can still use your PDF ebook file as it is going to convert it to html anyway. (NOTE: Further on we have added a link to an Amazon help file that will give you information on html as once you import book into MobiPocket if you wish to format it differently you will need to use a html editor) 11. Click on your choice of above for file you choose to input. Browse to find file you want to import. Click Import. 12. We recommend you click save on top of screen to save progress. On next screen you can click on Publication files to add more than one PDF, text file, doc, or html file. You would do this if for example you have an appendix that is not included in your book or you have a free extra ebook or extra chapters etc. Not wanting to confuse simply really stating the obvious as sometimes it is not so simple or obvious. 13. Now click on cover image on left hand side of the screen you are now looking at to add your book front cover. 14. Table of contents requires some work using Table of contents in Word, html you can use id tags, PDF havent figured it out yet. Most likely have to add id tags to resulting html file. 15. Add any metadata like cover image, ISBN, publisher, etc. 16. Click Build at top of screen. Check for any errors that occurred. You can view the resulting file using MobiPockets free desktop reader. Before you build your file, if you choose No Compression and No Encryption and then press build, after its done you can view the resulting ebook using MobiPockets free Desktop reader here: http://www.mobipocket.com/en/DownloadSoft/default.asp?Language=EN 17. You shouldnt have any challenges. If you do they are easily fixable. Any questions can be answered in the help forums at: http://www.mobipocket.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=23 18. Once you are finished click on Deploy and then follow instructions to finish. The instructions are mostly that you have to login to your publisher account and activate your book.
To publish your ebooks on Amazon.com for Amazons ebook reader, Kindle

1. Go to http://dtp.amazon.com and either sign in or sign up. If you have an Amazon Advantage account you are already signed up using the same log in information as Advantage. 2. Publishing for the Kindle is super easy. If you go to http://forums.digitaltextplatform.com/dtpforums/index.jspa there are many help pages that walk you through the entire process from signing up to publishing. 3. Once you log in you will be presented with your account dashboard. Click on Add New Item at the top of the page. 4. The page will change for you to enter the title, ISBN, Categories, Authors, Keywords, etc 5. Click on Save Entries, and you will be then taken to where you can upload your ebook in PDF, doc, text, or html form. 6. Just click on browse, and then find the file you want to upload, and then click OK. Once file is uploaded it will convert your file to html compatible with the Kindle. 7. Once the file is converted you will be allowed to preview your file in a new window. This new page will present you the ebook how it will look on the Kindle. If you would like to change anything, on the left hand side of the page is a button where you can download the html file of your converted ebook. Here you can edit the file using Dreamweaver, Frontpage, or even Notepad, any html editing tool. 8. A free html editing tool is at http://www.pagebreeze.com/ 9. Again refer to the help pages for Amazon given above to help you with any of the edits you wish to make. They also give really easy steps and information for html editing and common tags used in html editing for things like bolding text, changing font size, etc. 10. Once you have finished your edits. Save the file you were working on and then re upload this edited file. Not the one you originally uploaded. Best bet is to rename the file you download from Amazon so that you are clear which file is which.
11. Once the file is uploaded and converted. Preview it again just to be sure. 12. After this, click on Save Entries again on the page you used to upload your files. On the next page you can then give your retail price for your book. Make sure you read through the agreement on the section of royalties so you know what the percentage of your retail price you will be given. 13. After all this is done, the publish button at the top of the screen on our dashboard will become clickable. Just click Publish and follow all instructions after than. Have FUN!!

To self-publish or not to self-publish? That is the question! Well, my friend, I endorse self-publishing because as good old Milt said if opportunity doesnt knock (in the form of a publisher,) BUILD A DOOR!! I think publishing companies are wonderful, however, rarely when you are first published. You get little money up front, and youll think that theyre going to do all the publicity and get your name up there in lights...uh-huh. They dont have a big budget for first-time people. It is very, very powerful, self-fulfilling, and not expensive to get your own book or audio program self-published. These days, there are so many areas where you can get your book out there and sell it. Get your own Website up there, definitely! Get your own Website and sell your ebook and print book on your own Website and others websites. (Including www.MPowerTV.com) Even if you dont have merchant banking, there is Pay Pal and other methods, so you can still take credit card payments through your Website. I suggest getting your own merchant banking, as that is a wonderful and freeing thing to have. If youre going to have your own website to sell your product, whether its a book or audio program that youre self-publishing, or a video series, whatever your new product is, I suggest you get out there and self-publish it. Get your own Website up yes do this!! You can get it on Amazon.com after that. You can get print your own catalog. There are so many things you can do to self-publish. To start with, if you dont want to get your book bound properly, you can even just have it in a manuscript form or as an ebook and just sell it like that, in manuscript form or as an e-book. Then the profit you get can pay for
the printing if you even choose to ever go that route. There are so many different ways that you can self-publish your work. Use your imagination and many different ways will come to you magically so that you can sell your work!!! Let us now cover some of these I highly recommend, as mentioned, getting your own Website. If you do want to send it into publishing companies, go ahead and send it to publishing companies, its easy to research on the web now. These days, you do this electronically. However, knowing that you are already getting out there and selling your own book really does help. If its a book, I also highly recommend that you go to book expos. These are all over the world, including the USA. And sell yourself. Dress up at every event, everywhere you go feel and look successful. BECOME that successful person. Look at Jacqueline Susann; all the publishers told her that Valley of the Dolls was the worst literary piece that anyone had ever written, however, she totally ignored this and got out there, and did the publicity. She hit the road. Wayne Dyer did the same thing with his best selling book Your Erroneous Zones. He hit the road and sold it himself. You can do it. It doesnt mean you have to spend 24/7 doing it. Putting aside even just two to three hours a day three days a week, will help you become successful, knowing that you are doing it. You must be consistent. Doing something 5 days a week is even better. Action allows you to be too busy to worry. Stay in a happy vibration. Very important !! You will be too busy doing what you love to do and making it Happen! Its easy to be self-published. Its no big deal. Everyone thinks, Oh, its so hard! No, its easy. However, when you are assigned an ISBN publisher prefix, you are committed to following the rules of the standard. One of the rules is that titles and products to which an ISBN is assigned be reported to an ISBN agency. This is very, very good, because you end up being in a database for an ISBN agency. It helps with your publishing; it helps with bookstores and retail channels. Now in it about $275 for 10 numbers, Priority Processing and $200.00 Regular Processing. For 100 numbers, it is about $875.00 for Priority Processing and $800.00 for Regular Processing. You will be assigned your ISBN numbers that you can then use in the future for all of your many new products. When I first got my ISBN numbers here in the United States, I was given a list of over 200 ISBN numbers (things have changed) and I intend to use every single one of them! Get that ISBN number. It will save you a lot of time. One of my book printers recently called me and said, Michele, theres a gentleman here who has written this beautiful book and were printing it for him,
and he didnt get an ISBN number. Can you help him? Now this gentleman, who was all ready to print his book, has to wait a few weeks to get his ISBN numbers. So, I suggest you get that now. Because you are going ahead, taking action and getting your ISBN number, will let The Universe know that you are in action and that you are seriousyou are really going to write this book or audio program! Copyright, Patents, Intellectual Property.

You can write copyright or copywrite. They both have slightly different meanings but these days the line has faded and using either spelling is ok. Weve talked about self-publishing your book or audio program; thats easy. The copyrights easy. All you really have to do to copyright your work is send your manuscript or your audio program to yourself by certified mail. Then, dont open the package. Leave it sealed; thats your copyright. I suggest you send yourself 2 packages. Id like to add one more aspect thats important. When you use your source code to include, just add one comment you can do this by adding a <! just put in your copyright notice. You could put Copyright by __________ 2002-2010. Also if you have trademarks too, like we do for MusiVation, use a superscript where you write the TM, to make sure that trade mark becomes yours as long as you use it frequently. Also if you want to protect your source code from being copied, its good to have a hidden mark within your source code just add comments saying like, I have two or three children , I was married in ______, or whatever you want. And you can also add hidden comments to protect from people wanting to straight copy your site. What if you need to know about patents? Or intellectual property? What do you do then? The term intellectual property covers a gamut of intangible assets. It is widely recognized that these intangible assets include patents, copyrights, and trademarks. Intellectual property, however, also includes such things as trade dress, good
will, and reputation. It also includes expertise, data, know-how, and other information regarding business subjects, such as management and operations, marketing and sales, and technology. It can be the collective knowledge and expertise of a company or of an individual employee. Creating and maintaining rights in such intellectual property, and avoiding infringement of the intellectual property of others are becoming an increasingly important aspect of the professional activities of the practicing entrepreneur.
Patents
Ill give you an example taken from Michael A. Lechters book. Intellectual Property.(I highly recommend this book) Michael writes, Ackman developed a new video game, conceptually different from all previous video games. In addition to the conceptual difference from previous games, this game program employed radically new data manipulation techniques, which permitted generation of 3-D images using a standard, color cathode-ray tube. Ackman began marketing the game software, both in ROM cartridge and disk form. Each article sold was dutifully marked, Copyright Notice. The game was an instant success, and the programming technique was proclaimed a major breakthrough. Within a matter of months, competing games, conceptually the same as Ackmans game, but employing different audio-visual effects and minor functional differences, began to appear. Ackman sued for copyright infringement. Ackman lost. Ackman also learned that a number of companies were employing his 3-D display programming techniques in other products and games. His attorney advised him that his copyright provided no recourse, and that he should have obtained patent protection on his program. Ackman learned the hard way that a copyright provides only a very limited form of protection. That is just giving you an idea if you have this type of product. Software can be tricky. If youve got intellectual property in some form of a new design, a new concept, new software, a new product, it is definitely important to go ahead and get your product patented.
How to do this? A design patent, for example, has a term of only 14 years that provide substantial protection with respect to the ornamental features of a product, that is, the non-functional trade dress of the product. A design patent, however, does not protect the functional aspects of the product. You then need a utility patent. This has a maximum term of only 17 years, but provides the broadest scope of legally available protection. The utility patent can be used to protect the new and the un-obvious inventive concepts of a product. Of course, in return for this, the details of the product, or at least the details of the product relating to the inventive concepts, must be disclosed to the public. Those details become the property of the public at the end of 17 years. The various forms of protection are not necessarily mutually exclusive. In many cases, different forms of protection can be used concurrently with respect to a given product. Okay, this is what you do: Obtain design patent. You can easily find out how to do this on the Internet. The Website for the United States Patent and Trademark Office is http://www.uspto.gov/. This is a powerful Website where you can get specialized information for different categories, such as inventors, musicians/artists/authors, trademarks/logos/brands, intellectual property, and attorneys for each specialized area. You may even order publications describing the process for various activities; there is no charge for these brochures. This Website lists different email addressees for each specialized area. The phone number is 800-786-9199. You may also contact them by mail: General Information Services Division U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Crystal Plaza 3, Room 2C02 Washington, DC 20231 Then you begin actual use. Apply for trademark registration on supplemental register. Explicit mention/emphasis of appearance/feature in advertising/promotion. Apply for principal registration (presumed distinctive 5 years).
Now you have some great information about how to self-publish, how to copyright your book, and, if you advertise your product on a Website, or advertise on print media, etc. that also holds very strongly in the courts with copyrights and trademarks. For example, before I trademarked MusiVation I made sure that I put a little TM up in the right-hand corner of MusiVation. After the product it was distributed to the public that pretty much created a legal trademark. So, go ahead...self-publish, patent, trademark, copyright. Do what you need to do. You can be in charge of your own product. And then wait until the word gets out. If the bigwigs come along and want to invest in your company, then you can look at that. Remember; never be scared of people offering you money for your business. If you dont want it, dont take it. Continuing to own what you begin is very important. There areas ALWAYS a way or many ways to have YOUR dream come to life. All things truly are possible.

What does networking really mean? Well, to me, networking is simply, again, marketing yourself! Getting out there, letting people know who you are. It doesnt matter if youre a shy person or a person whos very vivacious. You can network through the Internet without ever having to speak to anybody. There are lots of ways that you can network, but you must believe in yourself. Networking can be fun, thats why I suggest at all of my seminars, everyone bring their business cards and network together. Therefore, when youre meeting people and networking, youre not looking at them as though theyre your way of making money. Youre looking at them as another soul that youre connecting with when you network. And, theyll feel that. You never, ever have to run after people and hassle them. Just be open, get your product out there, and network with people in a natural, loving way. Go to different seminars and always remember to bring your business cards. Go to social events, business events that are going to help you. Small business association lunches, lots of places. Network
yourself; let them know who you are and what you can do for them. Give things away. Say, I really like you. Im a great masseur, and Im going to give you a free massage. Give things away, have contests. Its wonderful fun giving things away, and its a great way of networking. Network, network, network! Give discount vouchers for your product or service when you network with people. Hey, call me and when you are ready to ____________________, take this discount voucher. There are lots of things that you can do to network. Well, you may say, I am far too busy to do that. Well, my dear, we all are. However, do it anyway! I am very blessed that I now have many people who network with me and on my behalf but this happened because I went out of my way to meet people and see how I could be of service to them or do something together. (The groovy people now a days call this JV opportunities-joint ventures ) You, too, can lose your fear and become a person who cares. We all have our moments where its all about us. However, whenever that happens, say to yourself, Its all about them. What can I do to help that person? The other person will feel this instantly, and you will be a magnet to opportunities and wonderful people. We are not on this planet for that long, so while we are here, we most certainly want to invest our precious time with people we sincerely like. We will not work for long with people we feel do not like us, and neither will they. Remember what Will Rogers said, I never met a man I did not like. Keep that motto as your own and affirm with the addition of Man, Woman or Child. I now have many wonderful people from all over the world who network my business; however, it started with myself. You can do it, and you must!! As I said, do it via e-mail if you do not like meeting new people, or find a business partner who loves to get out there and network. I feel it is a good thing to remember the reason you have a business partner is to do the things you cannot or do not like to do and vise versa. This gives you far more leverage in the marketplace and also helps keep all the left-brained work, working!! So, my friend, network away, have fun, and remember whats in it for THEM, not YOU! Remember it is very important that you write down, every day, a list of six things youre going to do. And if that includes that you already have your product and youre getting it to the marketplace, and then write down the actions that youre going to take that day. Maybe just one action on your list of six things: i.e., 1) Today I am having my photos taken for my website, 2) Today I am writing a new bio, flyer etc. Whatever your list of six things are, it is important to always add something that you need to do to bring your product to the marketplace. Once you have your product done, its not going to just sit there in a cave going, Om, the world is coming to me now. Dont get me wrong! Meditation and visualization are extremely important, but action is also very important. You must let the world know that your product is there for them, the benefits for them in using your product, in using your service, in using your business. Get it out there to the world! There are many ways we can do this. We can use the media; advertise, radio interviews, TV interviews. Now, if
youre going to go for interviews, youll need to get yourself a great page all about your product and the benefits for people. If its you thats going to promote it, keep practicing your interview style with enthusiasm and clarity. During interviews it is a good idea to have some cards in front of you (for radio) that cover the topics you will be discussing. Be prepared!! Any time you fax somebody or share with them about your product or service let the know about the benefits, not about how you did it! The benefits are the key!! What is in it for them! How Being happy Helps Us Increase All Good Well how can being happy make us enjoy more increase of good? You see it is all about the Law Of Attraction. We create our realty through our thoughts COMBINED with our feelings. When we are not feeling joy and happiness even when we do our best to think happy thoughts of what we do want, these thoughts simply do not have the strength or power to bring forth that which we wish to create or manifest in a timely manner unless these thoughts are backed with joy and happy emotions. So let me ask you, how would you FEEL if the things that you want were already yours? Happy? Elated? And for some a feeling of relief and peace of mind could also be an emotion we could be feeling. On our teleconferences we sometimes repeat positive affirmations that got us all into such a state of joy and elation that many later said they could literally FEEL their bodies become lighter and their hearts glowing and others headaches vanished and for others they felt their bodies go numb and almost see through. You see when we get ourselves into this state of bliss the happiness and heart glow we feel then helps us merge into our higher self and when we do this great power then is brought forth to help us manifest and co create. Here are some actions you can take to feel happy! Whenever we feel our emotions are in a negative or unhappy state, know that this will bring forth similar experiences so IMMEDIATLEY STOP whatever you are doing and breathe and feel yourself already in possession of that of which you wish to manifest. I know I speak of this all the time but hey how about really going for it this time and give yourself permission to STOP COMPLAINING. This helps us so much it feels miraculous. We can do this as many times a day and night as we need to whenever our feelings are not happy. If it is a hundred times a day so be it! Stop a hundred
times that days and breathe in the light and visualize and see and feel yourself in possession of that that you really, really want. If we are doing actions that do not make us happy but that we know will help us towards having our dreams come true, then immediately stop again and breathe and think of all the great things that will occur from our doing these actions Example: One week I was filing and not enjoying it I stopped and began seeing how doing this was helping my business be in order, helping me during my day to be able to locate things faster and hence save me time and also creating my office space to be in right order, which would also give my mind clarity, which is so important to my business running smoothly. I began to feel so happy and focused in the now at the project at hand, and my filing was finished in no time at all. You see when we are happy time feels like it is flying. * Do things that make us happy during our beautiful day. Whatever that is for you. It may be buying yourself some flowers for yourself so you have these beautiful creations to look at and smell during your day. OR buying some flowers for a good friend just out of the blue as giving to others also gives us feelings of happiness. * Instead of projecting thoughts about WHAT YOU THINK others are thinking or doing (Especially romantic partners) and what to do if so and so happens in a downer way, change these downer thoughts to. "It is none of my business what he/she is doing, I am doing this right now and I have no idea what they are thinking and I will leave them to their own business". This will help us stop projecting and stop judging others. Also if you are projecting thoughts that are all about what to do if so and so happens that is not a good thing STOP and start thinking about how you DO wish those things to turn out as if it had already happened in good ways, in ways that will be a great experience for you. See the good feel the good!! Don't think of what might have been think about what WILL BE!!
You see every thought that is backed with strong emotion will be powerful whether the thought is a good one or a downer thought. Our emotions are the gauge and a powerful gauge to let us know where we are in our thinking. Sometimes we do not even know that unconsciously we are worried all we know is we don't feel happy and WE CAN create happiness in our body and emotions instantly. There are many ways of doing this. Listening of course to our powerful and positive MusiVation Affirmations songs by myself and Bob Proctor. Or there may be other songs that make you feel good. Put that music on and get up and do a little dance and then yell out what it is you want as if you already have it. Get your vibration up and then breathe and see all the things you want as if you already have them. Treat each project as if they were actually someone we are deeply in love with. We must be excited with our career and know that we have a purpose that is wonderful and give it compliments just as we would someone we love. (I hope you compliment your loved one) You are going to be a powerful creator if you allow yourself to be happy. Right now say out loud 10 times. CLIENT CONTRACT TERMS

50% non-refundable deposit of full fee due within 30 days of contract signing to confirm date(s). 50% fee balance due at MusiVation Intl 21 days prior to event (30 days if international). No taping (audio or video) without the written permission of Michele Blood. Requests for products signing, special receptions, etc. at no additional charge will be accommodated as long as Michele Blood is available and on-site (request is recommended to be included in contract). Cancellations received less than 90 days prior to event and not rebooked within 120 days from date of event will be charged full the fee. Cancellations received from contract signing to 91 days out from event date, will only forfeit the 50% non-refundable deposit, which may be applied to a future booking within 120 days of cancelled event. Michele Blood will be reimbursed additional expenses paid by MusiVation within 7 days of expense report submission. The client will be invoiced for additional expenses within two weeks of engagement. A 10% discount off fee will be honored for full payment upon Agreement signing for speaking and entertainment engagements. The current fees are guaranteed with advanced bookings, including future bookings, should the fee structure change prior to the event.
