Minutes Meeting July 5, 2012 @ Seascape Resort

D & A Cottages Apologies; none Guest: Tourism Office Staff - Mr. Rene Bajuyo Minutes: 1. Project proposal by Mr. Rene Bajuyo: To produce a map of Camiguin Island featuring all CTA members and tourist spots with 19 advertising spaces available. Also included would be detailed information of the tourist spots and the CTA Website link. At the meeting 6 members committed to advertising space featuring their businesses.

This map will be distributed for free to hotels in CDO, Bohol, Cebu & Manila. Also Airport lobbies and ports that connect to Camiguin Island. The project cost 60,000.00php leaflets, 5,000php leaflet holders for 20,000 copies, for the next 3 months, up to the Lanzones Festival. All members agreed to support the project with the collaboration of the provincial government, LGU and the Chamber of Commerce of Camiguin. Action: Susan and Mr. Bajuyo to ask the above office and organizations for their support. Out come to date; Money pledged - Provincial Government 13,000php - Mahinog LGU 13,000php Chamber of Commerce 19,500php CTA 19,500 this totals 65,000php and covers the printing costs. Pledged advertisers at a cost of 1,500php per slot 19 spaces have been taken to date generating a potential 28,500php. This initial income will be used to support the design and distribution of the leaflets. Mr Bajuyo will lead on the distribution and marketing of the leaflets. 2. Website: The website will be up dated with all the new members links. Attached are 2 proposals with example of their work. Please have a look and give us your opinion. We need this done on time with the release of the map, so please get your advert of your place ready for the website.

Action: All CTA members to review their web site details or submit new details and send to Susan Sykes by 6th August. 3. Yearly Contribution Vote: Attached is the result of the vote for this years contributions. Red asterisk indicates the votes. Members were given plenty of time to vote, but sadly not many replied. So during this meeting all members present decided to conclude this matter and agreed that they will go with the majority. So, as you can see, majority voted for the 1st proposal. Please take note of your contribution and can we start paying now as we need to start our projects (Website, Map, Updated Tarpaulin for the ports, and the Lanzones Festival. Action: As membership fees are long overdue could everyone make their payments before the 6th of Aug or ASAP. See attached list. 4. Tourist Statistics: Please for those who still havent got the forms, contact the tourism office as soon as possible. They are going to start gathering the data for this month of July and will be collecting them at the beginning of every month. We urge everybody to cooperate with our Tourism Office. 5. REMINDER!!!!! May I ask all members, old and new to update their details including, website name, telephone no., and e-mail address and send it to me before I go to CDO this Sunday, 22nd to

order the tarpaulin for the ports.
