Applications, which are incomplete/ not on the prescribed form/ received after the due ate/ received without prescribed application fee shall not be considered. The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit. Higher start or advance increments can be given to the deserving candidates. Inservice candidates should apply through proper channel. Number of posts can be increased or decreased. For these posts, the minimum age of entry is 18 years and retirement age is 60 years. For posts at Sr.No.4, 6, 7, 9 & 10, the appointment to these posts shall be coterminus with the schemes in which these are provided For Posts at Sr.No. 4 to 10: 3% of the posts are reserved for physically handicapped persons belonging to Punjab state with 40% or more disability and the breakup of this reservation is as under:i) Blindness of low vision : 1% ii) Hearing Impairment : 1% iii) Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy : 1% (Ortho impaired) Attested copies of the Certificates regarding proof of handicapped and extent thereof, issued by Civil Surgeon of the district or place of which applicant is a permanent resident should be attached. It would also be certified in the medical certificate that the applicant is otherwise fit for the post he/she is applying for. However, if eligible persons are not found available in response to this advertisement, the posts will be filled out of other category/ categories and the points meant for persons with disabilities shall be carried forward for being filled from future vacancies. For posts at Sr.Nos.7 to 10, only short-listed candidates will be called for interview. Ph.D. in any discipline of Agricultural Science with good academic record. Twelve years experience in teaching/ research/ extension in Agricultural Science in a College/ Institution out of which, atleast three years must be as Professor/ equivalent. Substantial contributions to teaching/ research and scholarship as evidenced by the teaching innovations/ quality of papers published in professional journals of repute, adoption of results of research/ extension education. Administrative experience in a responsible teaching/ research post, and ability to organize and supervise the work of others. Matric level certificate of Punjabi language (if not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).

Note 1:The term good academic record with Ph.D. degree shall imply that the candidate possesses at least second division at Masters degree level. 2. i) ii) Registrar (For a term of four years) A Postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor or equivalent/ Associate Professor or equivalent of which 8 years should be in Associate Professor or equivalent grade with experience in Educational Administration. OR Comparable experience in research establishments and other institutions of higher education OR 15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. In case, a professor level teacher is selected for this post, he will be eligible to retain his own scale of pay of Rs.37400-67000+AGP 10000/- and will also be entitled to special allowance of Rs.1000/- p.m. attached to the post and rent free accommodation. 3. 1) 2) Comptroller (For a term of four years) Graduate with second division or a Postgraduate. Note: If the Officer is taken on deputation, he should have put in at least 7 years experience in the Indian Audit & Accounts Service/ State Accounts Service. 4. i) Senior Biochemist An eminent scholar having Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry/ Food Technology with OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 or 65% marks and actively engaged in teaching/research/extension with published work having atleast 10 publications as books and/or research/ policy papers in indexed/ISBN/ISSN numbered journals/books. Ten years experience in teaching/research/extension education in the area of wheat quality evaluation, out of which, at least two years should be as Associate Professor or equivalent in the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000+AGP Rs.9000/- and remaining as Assistant Professor/ equivalent (The period spent in obtaining Ph.D.degree will not be counted as research experience). Matric level certificate of Punjabi language (if not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment). Job responsibilities 1. 2. 3. To work on the ongoing research projects on improvement of quality including end use qualities in a bread & durum wheat, barley and triticale. Eight years experience in teaching/ research/ extension in the area of Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Engineering at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. Note 2:A candidate who may not possess Masters degree in the relevant discipline but possesses Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Masters level shall be eligible for the post. Such a candidate must have obtained OCPA of 6.50/ 10.00 or 65% marks at Masters level in the allied field.
