FactoryTalk View Machine Edition offers OEMs and end-users features that reduce development and commissioning time, while improving the operators experience and retaining the plant-wide scalability. FactoryTalk View Machine Edition (ME) software is a versatile HMI application that provides a dedicated and powerful solution for machine-level operator interface devices. As an integral element of the Rockwell Automation visualization solution, FactoryTalk View Machine Edition provides superior graphics, runtime language switching and faster commissioning time through a common development environment. FactoryTalk View Machine Edition 6.1 adds new features that speed development time by up to 30 percent, while enhancing the functionality and impact of HMI applications for machine-level, PC-based operator interface solutions. Optimized ControlLogix Communications Using RSLinx Enterprise

Optimize Your Investment FactoryTalk View ME provides premier integration with Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture, maximizing your existing control system investment. For example, RSLinx Enterprise communications offer native, optimized communications to Logix platforms. Enabled by FactoryTalk Directory, FactoryTalk View Machine Edition allows browsing to a local directory for RSLogix tag addresses and accessing controller tags directly. Tagless HMI with the FactoryTalk Directory FactoryTalk Directory gives you access to tags held in controllers by referencing them through a common address book. For example, tags defined in RSLogix programming software and referenced via RSLinx communications software, are automatically available for browsing and accessing in a local directory. With FactoryTalk Directory, theres no need to recreate or import tags into a separate tag database.

Runtime Language Switching

FactoryTalk View Enterprise, both FactoryTalk View Site Edition and FactoryTalk View Machine Edition, supports Runtime Language Switching of 20 runtime and 40 design-time languages. You have the ability to configure multiple language versions of an application with the capability of switching application languages dynamically at runtime. Text within alarm, local and information messages, as well as text embedded in graphics objects, can be translated easily using the string import/export to Microsoft Excel feature. This feature optimizes duplicate strings and allows a single translation for strings that appear multiple times in the application.
