these databases to allow filtering of the data. From one or more of these fields, select known variables (such as P# or SFA). This will narrow the database down allowing easier location of the desired materials. the materials alphabetically by that column. Use this feature to quickly scroll through all displayed materials.
The Filler material database offers 3 filtering capabilities. Based on the even more base materials and process specified on the record (P1 and P8 with GTAW in this example) the database has offered two additional filtering buttons. The first one allows filtering the database to show only those filler metals possible to weld with GTAW and P1 while the second button shows only those filler metals possible to weld with GTAW and P8. The Pipe to read 4 matrix for schedule log offers an easy and finding the desired pipe size schedule. Locate the diameter in the left hand column and then move to the right to find the proper schedule. The Pipe schedule log also offers three different tables for Carbon steel, Stainless steel, and Tube gauge/thickness. For automatic creation of a WPS, please see item 16 on page 2.2. Begin 2 headerfilling out the record by entering the information. While filling out this record, make sure to take advantage of the drop-down menus and databases rather than typing the information manually. Take notice of the check marks in the 3 section of this example. The dynamicScope forms in WeldOffice use these marks to determine which fields are needed. For example, when With PWHT is not selected, WeldOffice will not require data to be entered for PWHT.
When specifying the filler metal, remember 4 select it from the Filler Material Database to instead of manually typing the information. To do this, place the cursor in the SFA field and click on the database icon . Locate and select the desired filler metal(s) and then press the Accept button. Notice that WeldOffice enters the proper SFA, Classification, F and A numbers automatically. Note: Multiple filler metal classifications may be specified. Everything that is selected will appear in the Notes section on page 2. WeldOffice allows up 5 welding processes. you to specifyyou to three Additionally, can also
specify up to five filler metal sizes for each process. To do this, click inside the Filler metal size field and then locate the Add Column icon on the Tool Bar at the top of the screen. Click this icon and watch how this field splits with each click. This will also split all other applicable fields allowing specific data to be entered for each filler metal size. Notice that are no Gas fields 6 for SMAW. there is another feature available This of the dynamic forms. WeldOffice prevents entry of non-relevant information and minimizes potential introduction of errors. See next page for page two data entry instructions.

Automatically 11 from a PQR: create a WPS Another way to create a WPS is to have WeldOffice automatically generate the WPS off of a PQR. To do this you will need to open a completed PQR. If you have not yet made a PQR, please follow the instruction on page 2.1. With a PQR opened, go to the top of the screen and click on File / Save As New. Then select WPS. WeldOffice will begin to take all applicable data from the PQR and place it on the WPS. Additionally, notice how the Code Checking supplies you with even more data straight out of the code such as the Thickness and Diameter ranges qualified.

To add a group, click on the View welders in each group icon. Next click on the Add a new group icon. This will bring up the Welder Group details box where you can type in the group name. When a name has been assigned, press the Accept button. Examples of these groups may include: -Welders qualified to weld with a special process. -Welders qualified to weld a critical component. -Welders approved to work for a special client. Once groups have been created, welders 5 then have one or more groups assigned tocan them. To do this, first click on the icon entitled Assign groups to individual welders. Next, select a welder that is to have a group assigned by clicking on the welders name. Grouping information will appear in the two large boxes at the bottom of the screen. The left box contains the groups that are assignable to the selected welder and the right box contains the groups that are currently assigned to the selected welder. To assign a group click on the desired item in the left box Then click on the red arrow that points to the right in order to move that group into the right box. To remove a group that is assigned to a welder, click on the desired group in the right box and then click the red arrow that points to the left. This will remove the selected welder from that group. Several icons are provided in the top Tool Bar of the Find Qualified Welders report which allow the displayed content to be changed. Hover the mouse pointer over these icons and a Tool Tip will appear specifying the function of each icon.
As with most of the database reports generated in WeldOffice , the columns that appear in this report are changeable in order to fit a wide variety of needs. For more information on customizing columns that appear in reports, please refer to page 1.8.4 Selection Lists.
