Where were you born :

I was born in hillingdon hospital in London.

Where else have you lived:


I have lived in London and Cardiff

Who is in your family:


There are 5 of us my parents including 3 brothers and 1 sister

Your Home Life:


my home life over the years has been very hectic but thinks lately have settled down abit. The home is always very busy though. After my mum and dads divorce and my older brother and sister moving out things became a little easier.

What Does your mum and dad do for a living:


My dad is a builder and has been for 25 years and my mother is a self employed hairdresser

What about your brothers and sisters ?


My Older brother (age 31) owns his own Business Making internet based programs and has several offices around the country. My sister is married and works in Promotions. And my 2 younger brothers are still in education.

Family Health:
Everyone in my family is in good health. My family have massive support for me in the process my mother gets a little upset when I speak about various things though.

Any Trauma Experienced and your reaction to it:


Two events that sprint to mind in my life that I would consider traumatic are the move to wales and the divorce of my parents these both hit pretty hard and it took me quite a while to get over them but in the long run they made me stronger. I suffered in silence but as I got older I learned to open up to my friends about it more.

What do you do to help at home:


at home I do my own washing and washing up I help my mum where I can I often cut the grass sweep the drive of leafs and help in any way I can.

Have you holidayed away from your family ?


Yes many times most recently I went to Chamonix in march to snowboard with all my friends it was a great holiday.

How Mature are you:


I would say that I am far more mature than most people my age. I have had to grow up fast due to situations at home and Ive always been surrounded by older people.

Education
School Attendance:
My school attendance was good and well above acceptable level.

Who chose your school ?


My parents chose both my schools in London and Cardiff.

Punctuality:
I was always on time to lessons and well mannered I wouldnt say I was a bad student I was liked by all my teachers.

Membership of clubs and sports teams:


I took up Japanese after school but had to stop this when I moved to Cardiff I got to go on a Japanese exchange trip which was amazing and very interesting. I also played rugby for the high school team.

What did you get if you got a Detention?


I very rarely got one but when I did I really hated it they where after school and I really valued my time at home.

How did you get on with Teachers and Pupils ?


I got on with everyone in my school and college. Teachers loved me but thought I was an underachiever.

What did you think of your results?


To be honest I was very disappointed in myself but I expected it because I knew I hadnt worked hard. My family was also disappointed in me.

What further Education did you attend if any?


I attended St Davids Catholic College on a btec course in IT

School Life:
i found school life hard there was a lot going on during that time period of my life I feel that moving across the country interrupted me emotionally and things became unstable at home I became lazy and uninterested and as a result fell behind in school and college I wasnt a misbehaved student I just didnt listen or take any interest. I also felt although I had many friends I never fit into my new school.

Work Experience How Many Jobs have you had?


I have had 5 jobs apart from two I applied to them all by ringing them up and asking if they have any jobs available. The two jobs I got through family members. I left my jobs because my contract time had ran out.

What Responsibilities did you have?


During my time with the RNIB I was trusted to look after Blind and partially sighted people and make sure their needs are met I also had to organize events for the charity and a lot of trust was resting on my shoulders also with Real Radio I was often dealing with children and members of the public.

Time Keeping, and disciplinary record:


I am always on time and reliable I have never received a written warning whilst at work.

Hobbies and Interests


Member of any sports clubs?

I am a member of llanishen rugby club but I havent played since my shoulder injury back in 2007 I played for a good 4 years and enjoyed my time there. I was very passionate about the club despite not being the best it had a lot of heart and that was my reason for staying with them.

What are you personal achievements?


After college I gained a lot of weight and rocketed to 21 stone. I finally decided to change my life and turn things around and now I am a leanish 15 stone. This is how I found my love of fitness and weight lifting. Another personal achievement is conquering my anger problem I used to have a very short fuse but now I am proud to say that I am far more laid back and have matured with age.

Swimming:
I absolutely love to swim I would say Im a natural at it. I dont tend to swim too much but on holiday you cant get me out of the pool.

What first sparked your interest?


I have always been interested in history it was one of my favorite subjects in school I love reading about world war 2 especially when I came across stories about the first Commando Groups I instantly fell in love with the role of light amphibious infantry and from that point on I have wanted to be a Royal Marines Commando. Also I aspire to become the best I can be so it walks in hand with that. I find that the armed forces can offer me so much more then civilian life can.

What you personally want from the royal marines???? something a civilian employer cannot offer you.

Where are the Royal Marines currently operationally deployed?


42 commandos are currently deployed on their final tour of Afghanistan and 40 cdo and 45 cdo are deployed on exercise In the Mediterranean.

How long does it take to train and become a Royal Marine?


32 weeks

What is involved in training to become a Royal Marine?


Royal marines training are broken down into a number of different modules. Module 1 Foundation this is the transition from civilian to military life and to prepare the recruit for training in the royal marines Module 2 Individual skills to teach and practice elementary military skills in a progressive manner Module 3 - Advanced Skills To consolidate the skills learned and progress onto more advanced aspects of individual soldiering Module 4 Operations of war module To equip the recruit with the skills and knowledge required of him to act as a rifleman in all operations and all transition phases of war. Module 5 commando Course To confirm the recruit is professionally prepared for life in an operational RM unit and is at the commando level of fitness. Module 6- kings pass out week To pass out a recruit for duty in a fitting manner

Zero tolerance All Recruits are subject to Compulsory Random Drugs Tests. Any person found positive is
dismissed from the service. Any person dismissed for a positive drugs test cannot rejoin any service.
