WORSHIP ADVENT CONSPIRACY, WEEK ONE Begin each day this week with an Advent prayer (on blue insert). Cut out the Christmas Pledge on the front of the bulletin and post it where you can see it every day. On the fridge, maybe? Then, sit down with your calendar and make a list of all of your planned activities for the next four weeks. Mark the ones that are spiritual in nature, that help you to remember the true reason for the season. Do you need to add more spiritually focused activities? Do you need to eliminate some of the other, stressinducing and consumer-focused activities? Make those adjustments to your calendar now, and remember the true reason we celebrate Advent. For more resources visit www.adventconspiracy.org or pick up the book Unplug the Christmas Machine, by Jo Robinson and Jean Coppock Staeheli. ADVENT PRAYERS, 2012 Dont forget to take the blue insert home with you and keep the advent prayers with you each week. Thank you to all the contributors and a special thank you to Kristen Campbell who assembled the Advent Prayers.
