Just Around The Corner...

Whats Missing? When shopping for gifts became too difficult, an elderly man decided to just send checks to relatives. In his Christmas cards, mailed early, he wrote, Buy your own present! After the holiday, the man noticed hed received few cards in return. Puzzled, he went into his study, intending to write to a few relatives and ask what had happened. As he cleared his cluttered desk, the horrified man found the answer. Under a stack of papers were the checks hed forgotten to enclose with his cards! The lesson? Dont be in such a hurry to give gifts that you inadvertently leave out whats most important. Without the message of Jesus and his birth, the earthly trappings of Christmas are empty indeed.

WLBC Praying for FULANI OF WESTERN NIGER In a small, remote Fulani village, a man, his wife and their teenage daughter profess Christ as Savior. Because of their belief, there are two others in the village who are seeking. Please pray for this believing family and these seekers. Ask that their faith will remain strong even though they are isolated and far from any other believers. Pray for them to be encouraged and to be steadfast against persecution.

Thank you!

Did you know that the way that we give of our money, our possessions, and of ourselves is an evidence of our love for God? Author, Randy Alcorn

Many times we are asked, Who is my deacon? To help you, we will list the Deacon of the Week and his list of families in the WLBC Bulletin ENewsletter. There will be a complete list posted on the bulletin board near the church office. This complete list is alphabetical by your last name. We hope this will help you know who your deacon is for the year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the church office.

True Hospitality A 7-year-old boy was chosen to be the innkeeper in the Christmas program. When Joseph and Mary approached him, looking for shelter in Bethlehem, he simply had to say there was no room. The kindhearted boy tried to take the sting out of the situation, however. I dont have room for you in the hotel, he said. But Id love to have you come in for milk and cookies.

Bible Quiz When Jesus was 12, he worried his parents by staying behind at the temple as their travel group departed Jerusalem. What Jewish festival had they celebrated in the city? A. Hanukkah B. Purim C. Passover D. The Feast of Tabernacles (See Luke 2:41-49.)
