Astrology of Nurse Saldanhas death

The news that one of the nurses involved in the now infamous prank phone call by two Australian DJs has been found dead in a suspected suicide, has taken the global media by storm. Jacintha Saldanha worked for four years at King Edward VII hospital in London and now leaves behind two teenage children. Nurse Jacintha Saldanha was found dead in staff lodgings at King Edward VII hospital in London, where she had worked for four years, on Friday morning, after falling victim to an infamous hoax call to the hospital on Tuesday. Australian DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian called the hospital where the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge was admitted on Monday. They spoke to Ms Saldanha, posing as the Queen and Prince Philip, who put them through to the Duchesss private nurse, who gave out personal details about Ms Middletons health and condition during the night. As the news of Ms Saldanhas suspected suicide hit the already frenzied press, internet users hit social media sites to voice their disgust. Calls for the pair to resign were instantaneous and it has since been announced that they have been suspended. In the wake of this tragedy, however, some are beginning to ask if it is entirely reasonable to blame these two broadcasters for what has happened, or whether it is indicative of larger, more worrying failings.

This above news item dated 11th-12th December reports the aftermath of on an incident that occurred last week. Shown above is the horoscope for the eclipse progressed to 12th December. Notice that the progressed Ascendant-Descendant coincides with the Sun-Moon on the Sagittarius-Gemini axis. The following extract from astrologer Phoebe Forsyth was posted well before the incident: Moving on to the Lunar Eclipse on the 28th, which takes place in the signs of Sagittarius and Gemini, we return to themes from June 2012. It also once again brings up the issue of responsible reporting and publishing, and the power of words and ideas, which I commented on in my Astro-Insights column for October. As we become more and more of a global society and information continues to become an instant and allpervasive phenomena, so the onus will grow on any individual or company that posts a comment online, publishes an article, or broadcasts a movie, documentary or news report, to do so in a responsible and socially-appropriate fashion. As phenomena such as internet bullying and anonymous trolls becomes more prolific, we will also see an increase in the ability for people to be prosecuted for what they tweet, post or publish. The fact that the eclipsed Moon, in the communicative and curious sign of Gemini, will be square to Neptune, planet of deception, anonymity and a lack of clarity; as well as sextile to Uranus, the planet that rules computers and IT technology, suggests that during the next six months, this area of the law will become clearer in discriminating between what is and what is not considered a prosecutable offence with regards to antisocial online behaviour and online bullying, and more appropriate to the 21st century environment. http://www.astro-sphere.co.uk/EclipseChronology.htm

Here I think it also worth mentioning the on-going influence of the recent GeminiSagittarius set of eclipses, as well as Jupiters current passage through Gemini, both of which suggest that the debate around media ethics, religious and political tolerance and the power of words, thoughts and ideas, are not going to go away for some time. http://www.astro-sphere.co.uk/AstroInsightsOct2012.htm In hindsight a little more detailed analysis of the eclipse Yod helps see the situation more clearly. As the diagram above shows the eclipse moon forms a Yod with VenusSaturn and Mars-Pluto which form a sextile aspect. Saturn [6sc21] is conjunct asteroids Psyche [3sc33] ; Hebe [8sc13] and opposite Lacrimosa [15ta] 21sc45. Sun [6sg46] is conjunct Tantalus [6sg29]. From Martha Wescott we have the following interpretations which are self-explanatory. HEBE: Service personnel (nurses, waitresses, secretaries, receptionists, bartenders, etc.) PSYCHE: Recognition of childhood trauma; raw wounds psychologically; vulnerability;; the state of your mental health; depressions PSYCHE-SATURN psychological trauma has produced lasting fears, feelings of inadequacy, caution, a strong need to "prove" one's abilities, and a tendency to overcompensate. Watch too for times when people "run off" (or handle) their feelings by working hard, feeling too responsible, and being overly efficient. LACRIMOSA: Sorrow; death TANTALUS: Teasing
