Immunization Record with the following:

One dose of Tetanus-Diphtheria toxin within the last ten years Measles, Mumps, Rubella vaccine- series of 2 Complete series of Hepatitis B three shots Varicella vaccine (Chicken Pox) or acceptable evidence of the disease Negative TB skin Test or Negative Chest X-ray

Drivers License, proof of ageMust be at least 17 years of age. Social Security Card required The nurse aide program provides the preparation for entry level nursing assistants to achieve a level of knowledge, skills and abilities essential to provide basic care to residents of long-term care facilities. Topics include: residents rights, communication, safety, observation, reporting and assisting residents in maintaining basic comfort and safety.

Tuition: $500.00 Plus: $93.00 state test fee

Required Textbook/Supplies: Nursing Assisting a Foundation in Caregiving 3rd Ed.-ISBN-10: 1604250305 | and associated Workbook, ISBN-13: 978-1604250305 available at the Navarro College Bookstore and Red Scrubs required for all programs. Waxahachie program requires a stethoscope and gait belt.
