SUBJECT FORM TOPIC INTRODUCTION

COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FOUR DEVELOPMENT TEAM 1. Students knew some examples of application in multimedia which can be seen in their real life. Examples : advertisement, proposal presentation, school achievement etc. At the end of the learning session, students are able to : 1. state six examples of members in a development team correctly. 2. draw an organization of a development team correctly. 3. match the role with the members in a development team correctly. 4. state an example for each role correctly.

ACTIVITIES

Activity 1: 1. Teacher gives six nametags to each group which written a position as in an organisation of a multimedia production. Teacher asks to name their group and assign each students with the positions given. 2. Students discuss among the group members. Each students have to put the nametags on their clothes. 3. Teacher asks each group to draw an organisation chart of their group's organisation chart on a manila card. 4. Students do the group task with their creativity. 5. Teacher asks the students to present their group's organisation chart. 6. Teacher give comment and explain about the correct organisation chart of a development team. Activity 2: 1. Teacher do a quiz for the students individually. Teacher asks the students to draw the organisation of a development team correctly in their book. 2. Students draw in their books. 3. Teacher asks some students to give their answers. 4. Students present the answers.

4.3.2 DEVELOPMENT TEAM 5. Teacher concludes their answers. Activity 3: 1. Teacher gives each group lists of function/role and examples for each member in a development team. Teacher asks each group to match the correct function/ role and examples to the correct person in charge in a development team. Each group will get different set of examples. 2. Students discuss in their group. Each student has to hold correct role and example as their nametag. 3. Teacher asks each group to present their answers to the class. 4. Students do the group presentation. 5. Teacher gives comment and correction for the presentation. Activity 4: 1. Teacher asks the students to paste the correct answer in the correct column at the whiteboard. 2. Students paste their answer at the whiteboard. 3. Teacher concludes their answer and asks students to produce a mind map for a development team in their notebook.

NOTES A multimedia production team consists of a Project Manager, Subject Matter Expert (SME), Graphic Artist, Audio-Video Technician, Instructional Designer and Programmer.

a) Project manager's role - define scope of the project, discuss with client, search financial resource, equipment, facilities, coordinate the production team.

b) Subject Matter Expert (SME) - do research on the content of the multimedia project. - provide content for the multimedia project.

c) Graphic artist - develop the graphic elements of the program such as backgrounds, buttons, photo collages, 3D objects, logos and animation.

d) Audio-video Technician - recording the voice, edits the sound effects, records and edits music. - responsible for capturing, editing and digitizing the video.

e) Instructional Designer - decide on the best educational strategies and practices to present the information.

f) Programmer - write the program code lines or scripts using the authoring tool.

3. Evolution Sdn.Bhd is a new multimedia company. The company wants to produce a high quality interactive educational multimedia application. As a project manager, you need to coordinate the production team. Your team consists of a programmer and a person who is responsible for recording the voice and editing the video. Based on the situation above, a) Name two team members that were not included in the team. b) State the role of the team members that you stated in (a).
