INTRODUCERE

Dac ai ales s rsfoii paginile leciei demonstrative a cursului Eurocor Englez nivel de baz, nseamn c tii ct este de important cunoaterea unei limbi strine de circulaie internaional. nseamn c ai aflat c limba englez este cea mai rspndit limb din lume n relaiile social-politice, culturale, economice i nu numai, ea devenind indispensabil omului modern. Este ansa dvs. la un viitor mai bun! Cursul Eurocor se adreseaz tuturor persoanelor care nu au mai studiat anterior limba englez, indiferent de vrst sau de scopul pentru care se face studiul: pentru serviciu, pentru a comunica cu rudele din strintate, pentru a cltori, din plcere etc. Vei nva astfel n scurt timp s stpnii scrisul, cititul i conversaia n englez n diverse situaii tematice: la serviciu, n cltorii, n ora, la ar etc. (n acest sens, la pagina 3 putei studia tematica ntregului curs). Vei fi bucuroi s constatai c reuii s nvai limba englez mulumit unei metode de studiu practice, cu rezultate rapide. nvai relaxat i vei avea o pronunie excelent! Nu mai trebuie s v deplasai pn la sala de curs. Studiai acas, cnd dorii, n ritmul ales de dumneavoastr. Vei observa progresele fcute dup studiul fiecrui caiet de curs. n plus, CD-urile nregistrate cu vorbitori nativi v vor ajuta s v nsuii mult mai repede o pronunie de invidiat. V vei bucura de o atenie deosebit! Temele pentru acas sunt de un real folos studiului; pot fi rezolvate pe formularul de la mijlocul caietului i trimise apoi prin pot sau online. Mai mult, odat cu rezolvarea temelor pentru acas, vei beneficia de sprijinul unui profesor personal. Acesta v ghideaz pe toata durata cursului, astfel nct s v atingei obiectivele educaionale propuse. E timpul s apsai piciorul pe pedala de acceleraie i s intrai n legtur cu ceilali vorbitori de limb englez. Vei descoperi ct este simplu i plcut. Mult succes!

LECIA DEMONSTRATIV v ajut s v familiarizai cu materialele i metoda de studiu EUROCOR. Din punctul de vedere al numrului de pagini, aceasta reprezint mai puin de jumtate din coninutul unui caiet de curs. V prezentm cteva seciuni teoretice, exemple, exerciii i un model de tem, selectate din diverse lecii, pentru a vedea exact cum sunt structurate caietele.

STRUCTURA LECIILOR Studiul eficient al cursului Eurocor este garantat de structura unitar a celor 20 de caiete, din care 4 sunt caiete de exerciii extrem de utile n evaluarea modului de asimilare a cunotinelor. Separat putei achiziiona i un compendiu de gramatic. Fiecare caiet de curs este constituit din dou lecii, ce trateaz o anumit tematic (vremea, anotimpurile, zilele sptmnii etc.). O lecie este alctuit din dou pri. Prima parte cuprinde exerciii de recapitulare din leciile deja parcurse, prezentarea noului vocabular i exerciii de verificare a acestuia. Cuvintele i expresiile sunt introduse apoi n fraze, scurte texte i dialoguri din viaa de zi cu zi. A doua parte a celei de-a doua lecii a caietului v d prilejul s v verificai cunotinele din ntregul caiet. Cursul conine diverse tipuri de exerciii. Acestea constituie o modalitate relaxant i chiar distractiv de a v petrece timpul liber, iar n acelai timp v ajut s v fixai cunotinele de limb englez. Recapitulrile v ajut s sistematizai rapid noiunile principale explicate anterior. Caietele se parcurg uor datorit semnelor grafice special concepute pentru a marca elementele particulare din structura leciilor. Temele pentru acas sunt modalitatea optim de evaluare a progreselor nregistrate n studiul dvs.; vei primi de la profesorul personal calificative, nsoite de aprecieri/observaii. Vei urca trepte semnificative pe scara dezvoltrii personale! PRIMIREA CURSULUI La Eurocor, cursanii aleg unde s primeasc pachetul de curs! Dvs. ce alegei? 1. Acas, la cutia potal (Cutia potal trebuie s aib dimensiunile de minimum 22x30x1 cm.). 2. La serviciu. 3. La oficiul potal de care aparinei (Adresa declarat la nscriere trebuie s fie cea din buletin). CONTUL DE CURSANT Fiecare cursant are propriul cont pe site-ul www.eurocor.ro. Aici gsii informaii despre stadiul trimiterii pachetelor de curs, plile efectuate i nregistrate sau calificativele obinute la temele pentru acas. Din contul de cursant se pot accesa i aplicaiile TemeOnline sau PlataOnline. ABSOLVIREA Odat cu expedierea ultimului pachet de curs prin coresponden, vei primi i testul de evaluare final. Calificativele obinute pot fi : foarte bine, bine, satisfctor i insuficient (n funcie de punctajul realizat). Opional, dup absolvirea acestui curs, putei participa la un scurt program de pregtire fa-n fa, de cteva zile, n urma cruia putei obine Certificatul de absolvire emis mpreun cu Ministerul Muncii i Ministerul Educaiei. Tradus i apostilat, acesta este recunoscut n peste 60 de ri, semnatare ale Conveniei de la Haga.

Complexul de sunete n corespunde sunetelor similare din limba romn, dar g se aude slab, ca n cuvntul romnesc lung. n cuvintele din limba englez formate din mai multe silabe, una dintre silabe este accentuat. n transcrierea fonetic, vocala scris cu liter ngroat semnaleaz silaba accentuat: > [opin(g)]. shop > [op] magazin, prvlie

Semnul [o] este un o scurt. Se rostete o cu deschiderea gurii ca pentru a: > [op]. street > [stri:t] strad

Majoritatea caietelor ncep cu o recapitulare a materialului studiat n caietul anterior.

RECAPITULARE
1. Simple Present Tense (prezentul simplu) se folosete pentru a exprima aciuni obinuite, repetabile. Unele verbe se folosesc doar la prezentul simplu, acestea neavnd form continu. Iat cteva exemple: He often goes to the cinema. Do you sometimes visit your mother? They dont like to listen to the radio.

Folosim Present Continuous Tense (prezentul continuu) pentru descrierea acelor aciuni care se desfoar chiar n momentul vorbirii, respectiv pentru descrierea aciunilor diferite de cele obinuite. Complementele de timp utilizate cu acest timp sunt: now, this (week, month, year), today. Acelai timp se folosete pentru descrierea aciunilor care se vor desfura n viitorul apropiat. De exemplu: Mary and John are having breakfast now. Is he eating at a restaurant this week? We are not going to England next week.

3.

Folosim Simple Past Tense (trecut simplu) pentru exprimarea unei aciuni care s-a desfurat la un moment definit n trecut. De exemplu: We watched a good film yesterday. Where did you go last year? She didnt show me her house when I visited her last week.

Numeroase modele de dialog, nregistrate pe CD cu vorbitori nativi, v ajut s exersai pronunia corect n limba englez.

Uneori trebuie s ridicm bani. Ei nu-i place s cumpere lucruri uzate. Ceasul a rmas n urm din nou. Ceasurile digitale nu sunt scumpe. Ceasul lor nu o ia nainte niciodat. El arat foarte tnr, dar de fapt are 50 de ani.

Urmeaz un exerciiu de traducere. Traducei expresiile urmtoare n limba englez: a rmne n urm (ceasul) uzat, folosit ascuit, precis din cnd n cnd, uneori a merge nainte (ceasul) > to be slow > second-hand > sharp > occasionally > to be fast

n leciile anterioare am fcut deja cunotin cu timpul Present Continuous, pe care-l folosim pentru exprimarea aciunilor care se desfoar n momentul vorbirii. Dac vrem s descriem o aciune din trecut, care s-a desfurat la moment dat sau ntr-o anumit perioad de timp, atunci folosim timpul Past Continuous Tense [pa:st kontinius tens]. Perioada se indic printr-un complement de timp, sau cu ajutorul unei propoziii la timpul trecut simplu, dar poate reiei i din context.

Gramatica este o cale sigur de a nva corect o limb strin.

La construirea propoziiei folosim pronumele personal sau substantivul cu funcie de subiect, forma corespunztoare de trecut a verbului to be (was/were) i verbul de conjugat cu sufixul -ing. Pronumele personal I They + was were verb auxiliar + verb conjugat -ing walking cleaning + yesterday at five. their room all day yesterday.

Conjuncia while [uail] pe cnd, n timp ce, se folosete des cu timpul Past Continuous i exprim desfurarea simultan a dou aciuni. The sun was shining while we were walking. Nu uitai c, n cazul folosirii sufixului -ing, precum i a verbelor care nu au form continu, sunt valabile regulile nvate la timpul Present Continuous. Timpul Past Continuous se folosete i atunci cnd vrem s exprimm c n timpul desfurrii unei aciuni a nceput o alt aciune. Aceast aciune din urm se exprim prin timpul Simple Past. I was having dinner when John came. [ai uoz hEvin(g) dinr uen djon keim] Cinam cnd a venit John.

Alte exemple pentru folosirea timpului Past Continuous: The wind was blowing when I went to bed. His son was working at six. They were waiting for me when Ann called. > [Dz uind uoz blouin(g) uen ai uent tu bed] Vntul btea cnd m-am dus la culcare.

Iar acum s exersm timpul Past Tense Continuous (trecut continuu). Traducei n limba englez propoziiile urmtoare:

Cursul cuprinde prezentri succinte nsoite de multe exemple, utile pentru a nva ct mai rapid regulile gramaticale.

Ieri la ora cinci scriam o scrisoare. Soarele a strlucit ieri toat ziua. n timp ce am fceam curat, copiii mei stteau n grdin. n timp ce conduceam maina, am vzut-o pe sora mea pe strad. Ploua cnd m-am trezit. Cutam aceast carte cnd am sunat.

> At five yesterday I was writing a letter. > The sun was shining all day yesterday. > While I was cleaning my children were sitting in the garden. > While I was driving the car I saw my sister in the street. > When I got up it was raining. > I was looking for this book when you called me.

Interogativul la timpul Past Continuous se formeaz prin inversarea ordinii subiectului i a verbului auxiliar. n cazul ntrebrilor complexe, naintea verbului auxiliar se pune un pronume interogativ: Were you talking to him while I was asleep? Was he drinking beer when you saw him? Where was he going when I came? > Vorbeai cu el n timp ce eu dormeam? > El bea bere cnd l-ai vzut? > Unde mergea cnd am venit eu?

Rspunsurile afirmative scurte se formeaz cu ajutorul cuvntului yes, a pronumelui personal cu funcie de subiect i a verbului auxiliar. La formularea negaiei folosim cuvntul no, pronumele personal, verbul auxiliar was/were i cuvntul de negaie not (forma prescurtat: wasnt, werent). Was he driving home at six yesterday? Were they doing it all day yesterday? Yes, he was. Yes, they were. No, he was not. No, he wasnt. No, they were not. No, they werent.

Exersai accentul i intonaia n urmtorul dialog. Citii propoziiile cu voce tare i fii ateni la pronunia cuvintelor i a silabelor scrise accentuat: John: Barbara, I just read in the newspaper that to people who live in the country and earn their money in agriculture, the weather is much more important than to those who live in a town or city. Barbara: Thats right, favourable weather is necessary for a good crop. John: But sometimes it is too dry and at other times it is too wet. Barbara: There has to be enough sun, too. John: Yes, but if it is too dry for too long, the crop will not grow fast enough. Barbara: But we know that farmers are not easily satisfied.

De ce sunt garduri vii de-a lungul drumurilor de ar? Muli oameni btrni au murit n timpul valului de cldur. Au fost tunse deja oile? Asta este ceva ce nu pare a fi posibil. Acest cmp nu a dat nimic ce poate fi vndut. Noi am auzit bubuitul tunetului n deprtare. Ei au continuat s recolteze n amurg.

Verbul to do are dou funcii: este verb auxiliar ce ajut la formarea timpului prezent simplu Simple Present (propoziii interogative i negative), sau poate fi verb cu nelesul de a face, a se ocupa cu. What is he doing now? She never does it. What do you usually do on Sunday? Ce face el acum? Nu face asta niciodat. Ce faci de obicei duminica?

La folosirea terminaiei -ing ultima consoan se dubleaz, dac: 1. 2. Ultima silab este accentuat. Conine o vocal scurt. Exemple: get stop getting stopping

Must a trebui 8.4.1. Este un verb modal, cu aceeai form pentru toate persoanele, iar verbul care-l urmeaz nu are particula to. 8.4.2. Interogativul se formeaz prin inversiune, adic inversm ordinea lui must i a subiectului: I must go home. Mary must drive there. They must go to school. Must I go home? Must Mary drive there? Where must they go? Trebuie s merg acas? Mary trebuie s mearg acolo cu maina? Unde trebuie s mearg?
