INTRODUCTION Developing an e-Education environment to promote a greater count of students to splurge into the field of Education. It integrates the benefits of a physical classroom with the convenience of a no-physical-bar virtual learning en vironment, minus the commuting hazards and expenses. It will usher in the immens e flexibility and sophistication in the existing learning platform structures, w ith the perfect blend of synchronous and asynchronous interaction. It provides a means of collaborative learning for the students. If youre a teacher or student, you probably now that virtual learning env ironment designed to help professors and instructors create and teach courses on line or use online technology to help run classes. In educational software circl es, its also often called an e-learning system, a learning management system, or a virtual learning environment. In the recent era of globalization, technological advancement has increased dr amatically in every sphere including mainstream education. These advances have i ntroduced new educational nomenclature i.e. e-learning. Profound investments in te chnology in this decade have given rise to a worldwide explosion of information. Many educational institutions have been mystified by this information chaos. Th ey are driven by the goal to use newly found access to global data communication . This step will increase enrolment and will award a vast range of degrees throu gh massive investments in distance education programs. There has been much tal among educators that these acts begin to modify the students worth to the academi c world, as the students begin to assume both the tangible and intangible charac teristics associated with those of a Customer as opposed to the characteristics of a student. Mar eting strategies abound that beseech the students-customer to ta e advantage of fast, universal access, earn a degree in a short period of time, and o ther creative approaches that guarantee satisfaction and quic delivery of the d egree-of-choice. Moreover, in the fast growing competition in the job mar et, t here have been increasing demands for specialists, professionals over population , increasing awareness as well as demand for higher education, shortage of quali fied teachers and infrastructure facility. e-education/e-learning has ta en a le ad role in the teaching-learning process. Generically, the e-education is a teac hing and learning environment located within a computer mediated communication s ystem. It consists of asset of group communication and wor spaces and facilities that are constructed in software. e-education environment allows you to incorpor ate dynamic, interactive training into your learning landscape and manage it acr oss the enterprise. This reduce training costs while increasing impact, scope, a nd frequency of training to eep pace with your business-using only a Web browse r. Ensure customers, partners, and employees are always up-to-date on new produc

t releases, corporate initiatives, and soft s ills. Train the widest audience po ssible with anytime, anywhere access to recorded training sessions.

System Analysis Purpose of the System: This system provides an online solution to provide teaching and learning env ironment located within a computer mediated communication system. Existing System: Existing system doesnt provide information about the facultys achievements. Existing system doesnt have the facility to send the mails to students. Very often a video lecture covers multiple sub-topics but user cannot browse to specific sub-topic (time) within a video lecture. Existing system doesnt provide online exam facility for student evaluation. Existing system doesnt have the facility for the faculty to upload the assignment s. The Existing System doesnt provide the facility for the students to download the assignments and upload their response for evaluation by the faculty. Proposed System: Students can choose courses, attend lectures, ta e exams, view their attendance records, progress reports etc as per their convenience. Registration for multiple courses. Attend lectures anywhere anytime and browse to specific sub-topics (time) within a video lecture. Faculties can ta e lectures, upload assignments, announcements, evaluate answer sheets and also can upload lectures and other discussions in various formats as in videos, power point presentation etc. Upload and Download of various assignments, college notices, student s notices, journals, videos. There can be forums, blogs etc to discuss various queries and to put up suggesti ons posted both by students and teachers. Administrator can generate reports, log files, bac up/recovery of data at any ti me. Users must have valid User ID and password to login thus creating their individu al profiles. Modules Description: No of Modules: The system after careful analysis has been identified to be presented wi th the following modules: The Modules involved are 1. Student 2. faculty 3. Administrator 4. Security And Authentication 5. Reports Description for Modules: Student: Students can choose courses, attend lectures, ta e exams, view their at

tendance records, progress reports etc as per their convenience. Students can ta e up various quizzes which can help them to realize their inbuilt talents in va rious fields. Faculty: Faculties can place the lectures, upload assignments, announcements, ev aluate answer sheets and also can upload lectures and other discussions in vario us formats as in videos, power point presentation etc. Administrator: Administrator can generate reports, log files, bac up/recovery of data at any time. Administrator will provide users valid User ID and password t o login by creating their individual profiles. Security and Authentication: Student Registration. Login as student or faculty or Administrator Change password Forgot Password Reports: In this module, different actors can generate the different types of reports acc ording to their responsibilities.
