ALTRUSA SCHOLARSHIPS

Below are the five different scholarships awarded by Altrusa throughout the year: 1. High School Graduates three $1,000 scholarships awarded, $500 per semester/two Montrose High School graduates and one Olathe High School graduate Deadline: March 1st a. Checks are distributed directly to the college the students are attending, $500 per semester. First check sent August 1st; second check sent in early January b. Applications are distributed directly and collected by the high school counselors in early January with a March 1st deadline c. Committee reviews applications then interviews top five MHS students and top three OHS students

2. Connie McIntire Endowment - $1,000 for academic year/non-renewable Deadline: March 1st a. Students must attend Colorado Mesa University Montrose Campus b. One student per academic year for $1,000 paid directly to Colorado Mesa University c. Student must maintain 3.0 GPA and be a full-time student (12 hrs. minimum) to receive spring $500 disbursement d. Applications are distributed and collected through the Montrose Campus e. Committee reviews applications and the top three applicants are interviewed to determine final selection

3. Delta-Montrose Technical College Scholarship - $1,000/non-renewable Deadline: March 1st a. Distributed in two $500 checks directly to the Delta-Montrose Technical College, one per semester b. Applications are distributed and collected through the Delta-Montrose Technical College counselors office c. Committee reviews applications and the top three applicants are interviewed to determine the final selection

4. Ben and Pat Woods Scholarship - $1000 for academic year/may be renewed for 4 years/one Montrose High School or Olathe High School graduate/major in Agriculture Deadline: March 1st a. Check is distributed directly to the college the student is attending. Check sent August 1st b. Applications are distributed directly and collected by the high school counselors in early January with a March 1st deadline c. Committee reviews applications and the top three applicants are interviewed to determine the final selection d. Student must maintain 3.0 GPA and be a full-time student (12 hrs. minimum)
Children and grandchildren of the Board Members of the Altrusa Club of Montrose, Colorado Foundation, Inc. are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

5. Margaret Goodhue Endowment up to $1,000 to a qualified Montrose student, when funds become available

Delta-Montrose Technical College Scholarship One $1,000 Scholarship Guidelines for Delta-Montrose Technical College Scholarship: May only be used at Delta-Montrose Technical College $500 Fall Semester; $500 Spring Semester Must maintain a 3.0 GPA Must have participated in extra-curricular activities of volunteering Financial need will be considered Must be enrolled full time (at least 12 hours per semester) Application deadline March 1st. Margaret L. Goodhue Endowment Scholarship Guidelines for Margaret L. Goodhue Endowment Scholarship: Amount varies up to $1,000 when available

Altrusa International, Inc. of Montrose, Colorado Delta/Montrose Vo-Tech Scholarship Information


A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student of the Delta-Montrose Vo-Tech Center and will be distributed during the Delta Montrose Area Vo-Teachs regular Pell Distribution periods. $500 will be awarded for the semester, and $500 will be awarded in the spring. If the student withdraws from the Vo-Tech enrollment, an alternate student will be considered for the remainder of the scholarship. Enclosed in the application for this scholarship. The deadline for completing and sending this information to the Education Committee of the Altrusa International, Inc. of Montrose has been set for March 1st. When filling out the application, please remember that the more information you give makes it easier for the committee to make their selection. Thank you for your interest in this scholarship.
