Design Criteria
Nitoseal 125/130
Joint should be designed so that movement due to shrinkage and thermal changes does not exceed Movement Accommodation factor, related to joint width
Nitoseal 125/130
joints not using foam backing, debonding tape should be placed in the base of the joint.
Storage
Atleast 9 months shelf life in original unopened cartridges when stored in dry conditions below 250C.
Application
Nitoseal 125/130 can be applied by hand or air operated caulking gun. Ensure that the sealant is pushed firmly into the joint to give complete wetting of the surface. Any tooling of the sealant surface must be carried out immediately using a joint shaping tool soaked in detergent solution. If required the edges of the joints can be protected with masking tape. If this is done ensure that the tape is removed immediately after tooling.
Precautions General
Nitoseal 125/Nitoseal 130 contain a fungicide and is not suitable for using in contact with drinking water or in aquarium. Not suitable for permanently immersed conditions. Not to be used in contact with bitumen compounds. Cure may be retarded in conditions of very low humidity.
