AL SAKAB 16,500kW Sta onary Cu er Suc on Dredger

The Al Sakab is a 16,500kW cu er suc on dredger specialy designed to dredge rock in the Middle East. Huta Marine has invested in this dredger for execu on of major dredging projects in Saudi Arabia. The Al Sakab is equipped with the latest dredging technology and features to improve on eciency and maintainability: electrically driven cu er and winches for dredging hard soils; use of Cu er Special pumps, which combine a large ball passage with high suc on performance and high eciency; three dredge pumps, (one submerged single walled, two in-board double walled) of the same type, using iden cal wear parts for each of the pumps (impeller, inner casing, wear plates); iden al motors for the submerged pump drive and the cu er drive; wear resistant material for on-board pipelines, and so-called white iron wear parts for the dredge pumps; extensive instrumenta on and automa on using ar cial intelligence for increased opera onal eciency.
