2013 Infant-Toddler Teacher Preparation Course

Phase I Application and Interview

Submit a complete application. Upon review, the Academic Director will contact the applicant for an interview appointment. Application Deadline Spring Cohort: March 1, 2013 Summer Cohort: May 1, 2013 Note: a $200 late enrollment fee will apply to all applications processed after the published deadline.
Phase II Orientation and Independent Study

Orientation meetings may be scheduled as soon as a student has completed their interview. Since orientation introduces the student to a sequence of independent study assignments designed to lay a foundation for academics, we recommend scheduling your orientation early enough to allow time for the completion of these assignments before the start of Phase III Beginning Academics. Orientation must take place prior to attendance of beginning academics.

A Practicum is a student teaching internship consisting of nine consecutive months at an approved school selected by the student teacher and approved by the course director.
Phase V Continued Academic Seminars

November 7 10, 2013 March 27 30, 2014 (Self-Evaluation: Sunday, March 30, 2014)
Phase VI Post Graduate Seminar

November 2014 (Work must be finished by July 2016)

2013 Infant - Toddler Course Tuition


Infant-Toddler Program

$5,200 Tuition Fee plus $453 Certification Membership Fees (Academic credit fee: $100; MACTE Fee: $148; AMS Adult Learner Fee: $205*) Schedule: With application: $500 (application payment) Initial Payment due one week prior to Orientation Date: $2,000 (towards Tuition Fee and a separate payment of $453 for Certification Membership Fees)
Balance of Tuition: Plan 1 Plan 2 One payment of $2,700 due on June 1, 2013 Two installments of $1,350 due on June 1, 2013 and December 1, 2013

Plan 3
(an additional $50 finance fee included)

Four installments of $687.50 due on June 1, 2013, September 1, 2013, December 1, 2013, and March 1, 2014

Plan 4
(an additional $100 finance fee included)

Ten installments of $280 due on one first of the month between June 1, 2013 through March 1, 2014

Refund Policy

If an applicant is not accepted, the $500 Application payment is refunded. If an applicant withdraws before the Orientation date, $400 will be refunded. A letter of withdrawal must be submitted by the student in order to receive a refund. No refunds will be made after Phase II Orientation has begun. Notes: 1. Tuition 25 late payments received more than five business days after the payment plan due date, will result in a $ fee. Checks returned for any reason will result in a $25 returned check fee. 2. The first and third visits to Practicum sites (over 150 miles from Seton Montessori Institute) will require a travel expense fee of $250 each for a total of $500. This is non-refundable. Checks or money orders are accepted for all payments. VISA or Master Card (presented in person during business hours) are accepted for Initial Payment, Plan I or Plan 2 options only. *Applicants holding a degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education are exempt from paying the Academic Credit Fee.
