CABLES SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENT AS PER CONTRACT WITH MCD

Cross -linked Polyethelene(XPLE) power cables or 1.1 grade power or control cable. Cables will be Galvanized Steel wire/Strip armoured type(IS 3975) 1.1 KV grade PVC insulated,PVC sheathed Power cables shall be electrical grade aluminium conductor as per IS 8130.IS1554 1.1 KV grade PVC insulated,PVC sheathed control cables will have annealed high conductivity copper wire. 1.1 KV grade PVC insulated,PVC sheathed Power cables shall have armour when the diameter exceeds 13 mm. Polyethylene insualted special twisted pair shielded cable shall provide balanced signal transmission with good noise immunity.The conductors shall be stranded tinned copper wire. The pilot wire protection cable will be manufactured as per IS 1554 (part1)

Power distribution boards

The Power distribution boards(PDBs) shall conform IS 5578,IS 8623,IS11353& IS13947.They enclosure will be IP54 and will be fabricated from 1.6/2 mm thick CRCA sheets An Enclosure of 250 mm height shall be reserved at the top for TP busbars.Similarily an enclosure of 250 mm height shall be reserved at the bottom.The bus bar shall be aluminium alloy conforming to IS 5082. Fuse Switch distribution boards conformimg to IS 13947 Non-Deteriorating HRC fuses having rupture capacity not less than 50 KA rms at 415 V AC conformimg to IS 13702(part1& 2) MCCB distribution boards,the incoming switches shall be of load break AC23 category conformimg IS 139479(part 3) with breaking capacity 50 KA The contactor shall be sturdy construction with double break silver tripped contacts conforming to IS 13647(part4/Sec 1)

LIGHTING TRANSFORMERS
The lighting transformers shall be 1-phase dry type (AN) for supplying 240V, 1-phase power to DP lighting distribution boards from 415V, 3-phase , 3-wire , 50HZ supply. The units shall be designed, manufactured & tested as per IS 2036 and IS 11171.

MINIATURE CIRCUIT BREAKER

The lighting distribution boards with outgoing miniature circuit breaker shall be suitable for 240V, 1phase system generally conforming to IS 8623 & IS 13947 as applicable.
