Candy Corn Pillow This pattern is worked in the round.

Yellow (A), Orange (B), and White (C) yarn. (Or black/orange/white, or black/purple/green or whatever you want!) Medium Weight Yarn (Size 4) J-10 Hook (6 mm) Stuffing Optional: Stitch Marker This pattern requires the ability to create a magic circle, US double crochet (DC), US single crochet (SC), double crochet two together (dc2tog), single crochet two together (sc2tog), and back loop single crochet (BLsc). If you would prefer a tighter stitch, instead of DCs use SCs and add an additional row of only SCs for each round. For example row 29 would look like this: *3 SC, 1 sc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (20) Then SC 20 times. (20) This method has not been tested, but in theory it should work. Please e-mail me if you try this method (kkracky@att.net) and let me know how it turns out!

Starting with color A

1. Make a magic circle. 2. SC 10 in circle and pull tight. (10) 3. 2 SC in each stitch around 10 times. (20) 4. *2 SC in 1, 1 SC in 1 SC * Repeat ** around 10 times. (30) 5. *2 SC in 1, 1 SC in next 2 SCs* Repeat ** around 10 times. (40) 6. DC around. (40) 7. *2 DC in 1, 1 DC in next 3 DCs* Repeat ** around 10 times. (50) 8. *2 DC in 1, 1 DC in next 4 DCs* Repeat ** around 10 times. (60) 9. SC around. (60) 10. *2 DC in 1, 1 DC in next 5 SCs* repeat ** around 10 times. (70)

11. *2 DC in 1, 1 DC in next 6 DCs* repeat ** around 10 times. (80) 12. *2 DC in 1, 1 DC in next 15 DCs* repeat ** around 5 times. (85) 13. BLsc in DCs around. (85) 14. SC around. (85) 15. *15 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (80) 16. *14 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (75) 17. *13 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (70) 18. *12 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (65) 19. *11 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (60) 20. SC around. (60)

In color B
If at this point you want your candy corn to be a bit taller, just add a round of SCs or DCs every two or three rounds. 21. *10 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (55) 22. *9 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (50) 23. *8 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (45) 24. *7 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (40) 25. *6 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (35) 26. *5 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (30) 27. SC around (30)

In color C
28. *4 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (25)

This would be a good time to start stuffing and shaping, and after each round from now on. Make sure not to over fluff it because this was done in DCs there is a bit of space in-between stitched and you dont want stuffing busting out. 29. *3 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (20) 30. *2 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (15) 31. *1 DC, 1 dc2tog* repeat ** around 5 times. (10) 32. sc2tog until you can not anymore and finish off!
