Bachelor of Planning (BPlan) from Manipal University Jaipur SP&D offers a four year professional courses with a focus

on 'creativity and innovation' in planning, leading to Bachelor of Planning (BPlan) and Bachelor of Design (BDes-Fashion Design) degrees. As per the guidelines of University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India, the norms and standards laid down by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) as well as the Institute of Town Planners, (India) are followed. The key features of the programmes include their multi-disciplinary nature, interconnecting them with the fields of architecture, engineering, geography, economics, sociology, management, history of design, traditional crafts, forecasting & promotion strategies. Adequate emphasis has been given to practicals / labs/projects where students will have opportunity to learn by hands on experience. Practical training has been provided, with a provision of public presentation in the form of seminars/ fashion shows. Training in oral, visual and written communication skills form one of the important aspects of the programmes. While the programmes ensure sufficient exposure required for a fully equipped planner/ fashion designer at the undergraduate level, number of electives has been introduced to prepare the students for further studies at the postgraduate level. Project based teaching enables students to think creatively and fully integrate their understanding with the market. Bachelor of Planning ( BPlan): Program Objective: Impart knowledge of how planning can influence the communities and the physical environment. Equip students with the competence to apply this knowledge at different levels, namely local, city, regional and country in a wide range of situations. Create an understanding of the contribution, other disciplines can make to planning and vice versa. Develop skills in policy formulation, land use allocation and control, design and communication. Eligibility: The eligible candidate must have passed an examination at the end of the new 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject of examinations at the 10+2 level, with minimum 50% aggregate in any group. 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central / State Governments with 50% aggregate marks International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with no less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination Admission Process:

Indian Nationals: Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and there is no entrance test. Foreign/NRI Candidates: As per the AICTE regulations, 5% of the total seats are reserved for foreign/NRI category. Under this category, MUJ admits NRI sponsored students whose parents, blood relatives or parents' family can sponsor. Sponsors are required to submit a Notarized Affidavit stating their relationship with the candidate. Payment is to be made in US Dollars from the sponsor's bank account.
