1.0 NSLDS Teacher Loan Forgiveness Extract File Layout (GATLF1)
The Teacher Loan Forgiveness Report (GATLF1) provides GA users with detailed student and
Teacher Loan Forgiveness (TLF) information as reported by FFEL data providers. The output
produced includes student identifiers (SSN, First and Last Names and Date of Birth), as well as TLF
information (TLF Type, Paid Date, Submission Date, TLF Amount, TLF Source, Student's State of
Application, Lender Code and TLF Totals). The report parameter fields containing asterisks (*)
select all records by default unless otherwise specified. The information is available in a formatted
report or extract file. Additional hints for printing the formatted report in Microsoft Word are
available in the Report List Help page. Extract file layouts are available at http://www.ifap.ed.gov.
GA users receive the processed data via the SAIG mailbox associated with the NSLDS User ID
requesting this report

This section contains extract file layouts that list the header, details, and trailer records for the
Teacher Loan Forgiveness batch request file produced. Each online extract request is used to
generate one header record, one or more detail records, and one trailer record. Each record layout
table contains the position, the data element name, description, field format, and length.
