John W. Howard, Ph.D. Dr.

Howard received his doctorate in Social and Organizational Psychology from the University of Oregon in 1977. After two postgraduate years in a private research setting, he spent 22 years in management and ownership positions in a variety of businesses, including commercial real estate, finance, and recreational vehicle sales. He has current clients in those fields, healthcare, and in hospitality, manufacturing, title insurance, mortgage banking, residential and institutional treatment, and customer service. In 2001, he founded Performance Resources, and now applies his education and experience to the use of scientifically validated assessment tools in business settings. He is published frequently in business magazines and newspapers, and has published a book, SHARP HiringTMHow to Find, Hire, and Keep Top Performers. He credits much of his lifelong achievement to the values and training he received on the way to earning the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He is nationally recognized as an expert in the fields of human resource assessments, selection and hiring systems, employee retention, management development, and productivity increases.

Kenneth G. Kuhni, RHU, MBB-LSS Consultant Ken is a lifelong native of Utah, and a recognized leader among his peers. Since founding his first business in 1981, Ken has proven himself as an effective business professional, and draws on that experience and his training in assisting employers. In 1987 he entered the employee benefits business and received industry recognition for his production and leadership, including his volunteer service. He is former President for the Utah Association of Health Underwriters. In 2001, Ken co-founded FirstWest Benefit Solutions, an employee benefit consulting firm serving Utah and Salt Lake county employers. He retired from FWBS in 2009, in order to start his own consulting business with his son Erick. His post high school education includes Brigham Young University, and American College. Professionally he has earned the RHU Designation, and most recently his Master Certificate in Six Sigma, including the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate, from Villanova University He is a lifetime supporter of the Boy Scouts of America in local charter, district and council assignments including a Master Trainer and Course Director for BSA Wood Badge Adult Leader Training. He is a recipient of the BSA Silver Beaver Service Award.

Erick Kuhni, B.S. Ericks previous work experience was in the Employee Benefits industry as an Insurance Producer. There he represented a broad range of insurers and products, working directly with both companies and their employees for the administration of their benefits plan. During that time he also served in management, and was directly responsible for a team of producers and client service specialists dedicated to product sales and client management for small business in Utah. Erick was born and raised in Utah, and holds a BS in Economics from the University of Utah. Additionally, he has achieved a Master Certificate in Six Sigma and the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate from Villanova University. He is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Econometrics, from the University of Utah.
