Professional liars have a way of doing things. Joe Smith the founder of the mormons thought no one would ever be able to translate hieroglyphics so he made up some fake translations and thought he would never be caught. Well, years later thanks to the Rosetta stone, now we can translate Ancient Egyptian and Smith was exposed as a liar.

Now if you really are related to Michael Jackson, why would I care? I'm not related to anyone famous or important. Even if you are related to him, that doesn't make you important. I remark on it because I have heard these sorts of lies over and over and over again. The liar picks a famous person they admire and thinks others might buy into the idea of being related and there is little chance of discovery so you make the claim. Well, I won't believed you without proof. If I call the Jackson estate to verify your story, what will they tell me?

If I told you I was related to Madonna, would you just automatically believe me or would you ask me for some sort of proof? I'm not by the way, that was just an example.

I had a R E A in Florida do a basic check on the land owned by the company that owns Tropicana. Of course they are various changes in office space and what not but the groves have been owned for over a hundred years. Not even you are that old.

I got the head shot in of the guy that was supposed to have been on the skates. I have to admit, it looks like a different guy. Of course the the MJ video was made 30 years ago and the guy obviously got older and could have lost weight but my initial reaction is that it really does look like a different guy. Now if my information is correct, and this head shot really is the same guy then it is virtually impossible that he would have been engaged to you. He comes from another country, and in his home country marriage records can be gotten with a simple internet search. Somehow I don't see you as the type to get on a plane and travel to other countries.

Then again, you might be right. I admit, the head shot sent to my office does not look like the same guy. But this guy is listed in the credits for the MJ video and the name you gave me is not. I sent in a request for a head shot for the name you gave me and they say they don't have one. They don't know who he is.

As for the whole adoption thing; well you would know that adoption records aren't just given to anyone. I can get DL for people and if I send someone to the right clerk's office I can get Marriage licences as well but it really seems like a fools errand at this point. Your original post did mention an adoption but I was thinking of the words "third cousin" in their legal meaning; that is blood relative distantly related enough to marry. Looking over your additional details, it turns out that not only are you not related to MJ but you aren't even related to the people who themselves are not related to MJ. Well, yeah, if I want to jump through hoops and count every tiny little connection then I'm related to the boxer Hector Camacho and the Olympian Jim Thorpe. Now, I'm not really related to them, I don't tell people I'm related to them. In fact, as long as we are jumping through hoops and all, I'm more closely related to Carlos Marcello, but again I'm not really related to him and I certainly don't tell people I'm related to him.

So you have given me four stories:

1- Catholics are attacking you. And I have shown that this is a lie.

2- Land owned by you was stolen from you by Tropicana Very likely untrue

3- You are related to MJ But then you aren't really related to MJ which you admit when pressured.

4- You were engaged to the guy on the stakes in the MJ video

Well, you obviously didn't marry the guy so that connection is busted anyway. You gave me a name and I can't confirm the name. I got a name and a head shot from a casting director, and while I'm not really satisfied that it is the same guy he did have something to do with the video since he is listed in the credits as a choreographer. And, no, don't go trying to blame Catholics for trying to erase anyone. The British guy isn't Catholic, MJ isn't Catholic, no one connected to the video is Catholic as far as I'm aware.

I found out a long time ago not to go telling stories about famous people, even if the story is true, because it only makes you look like a liar unless you can prove it. I once met Edwin Edwards. I shook his hand, I said hi. I never had a conversation with him, he simply came to my place of work, I greeted him and soon my boss came and brought the former governor into his office. I can't prove that happened, so I never tell anyone. I also shook Tom Cruise's hand by accident (incidentally at the same convention where I met Paul Weber). Now, if you call up Tom Cruise I wouldn't expect him to remember me. I'm not sure if Paul Weber would remember me or not but I actually had a conversation with him and he was one of the judges that judged the cold read competition where I won first place. From all of that I feel totally comfortable telling people that I met Paul Weber. I can back that up. I can't back up me shaking hands with Tom Cruise, so I don't tell people about that.

Similarly, I went to the same college as Shaquille O'neal. O'neal was a friend of one of my teachers and we were introduced. At first O'neal didn't want all the attention of being a celebrity. He didn't want to take pictures with people. My teacher kept bringing me with him to "hang out" in the quad and eventually O'neal warmed to me and we had several conversations about college life, majors, and believe it or not Math homework. I wasn't a basketball fan, I was just a smart student that my teacher wanted to show off to his friends. Years later I had a job where I was in charge of handling very large sums of money for very rich people. I told a colleague about meeting O'neal and word got back to my boss who was a basketball fan. My boss didn't believe a word of it and basically said that if I couldn't be trusted not to tell lies around the office, then how could I be trusted to manage large sums of money, or be trusted with our clients' private information. I was the one who told the story, and now my job was on the line, so it was up to me to prove that it happened. I had to track down my old teacher, get him to send me photos he took of me with O'neal. Thankfully it wasn't a photo of us posing for a photo but of us sitting by a tree near Stubbs hall in the quad just hanging out. My boss was impressed, I kept my job, and I learned a valuable lesson about not telling people I don't trust my life story.

I had a hard life growing. When I was younger I had a chip on my shoulder about it too. I had to fight, literally, to stay alive. Today when I see stories about young men going to prison for the rest of their lives, or having their lives cut short because of guns, or drugs I know all too well that could have been me. If you opened a novel and discovered that the main character was a 13 year old kid with no parents living alone on the streets of New Orleans, then you would probably guess that you already knew the ending of this story, and the prospects for that kid were not good. Add on top of that the fact that the kid speaks English as a second language, and has unusually pale skin for living in a black neighborhood and you'd probably feel correct in saying that he wouldn't last a day. Well, that 13 year old kid is all grown up now and after making a life for himself through hard work with his own hands, ingenuity from his own mind, and a heavy helping of blessings from the King of the Universe, that kid now looks at your whining and complaining about Catholics, not to mention all the other things you claim on your blog, as petty and small.

From what I can tell, and I don't mean this as an insult just as the facts, you are just some old lady with a chip on your shoulder because you didn't do anything with your life and you want to find someone to blame. You saw a bunch of websites run by crazy protestants on the internet accusing the Catholic Church of all sorts of made up black legends and decided that it made sense to you. So you jumped on the bandwagon and joined the likes of the Know-Nothings, the KKK, the muslims, the Anglicans, and Nazis, and recently the Democratic party, and decided that it is ok to hate people because you aren't good enough a person to see the merits of their religion. It's different, you don't understand it, you can't even understand the basic vocabulary they use, so you attack it without knowing what you are attacking. You dare to call yourself a Christian, all the while refusing to even consider the implications of what you are doing. One of the very last things Christ told the Apostles was "he who rejects you also rejects me". Yet you have never considered the meaning of this phrase. If what the Catholic Church has said about this phrase since before Luther was even born, indeed since before the edict of Milan, is true, then the authority given to the Apostles by Christ rest today with the Bishops of the Catholic Church and rejecting the Bishops means rejecting Christ if we take Christ at his word. But you don't care about any of that. All you care about is who wronged you, let's have no talk of forgiveness or reconciliation at all.
