1 Denition
The feature General Facility Reset (GFR) allows the subscriber to reset different features, which are currently active, with just one controlled input. Subscriber data related to features, such as the forwarding number in case of call forwarding, will not be deleted.

2 Mode of operation
The feature General Facility Reset (GFR) can be used to deactivate all features marked with GFR in the network node. The subscriber can deactivate all of his or her features that are currently active with just one input. Two variants are provided: General facility reset including alarm calls General facility reset excluding alarm calls. The operator can determine whether the first or second variant is to be made available at network node level. When GFR has been successful, the user can receive the same tone or announcement received as when he or she deactivates a single feature, or a more specific tone or announcement. If the subscriber has several numbers (MSN) and/or several services (ISDN), the user can activate features for one or more numbers and/or one or more services. In this case, General Facility Reset will be performed for the numbers and services for which features are active. Facilities with PIN Depending on whether a subscribers features were activated in combination with a keyword or not, GFR must likewise be entered with or without a keyword. Entry of GFR without a keyword only deactivates features that were likewise activated without a keyword. Facilities that can be deactivated All features administrable by the subscriber by SCI, except call related inputs, are subject to GFR. For features with data which can be administrated (e.g. a destination directory number in call forwarding cases) and separate activation, only the activation is reset. It is possible to specify whether the subscriber features have to be reset with GFR or not. The alarm call services, casual, periodic and specific, are treated as one feature and reset with the GFR variant including alarm call service, regardless of which one is active.

3 Subscriber controlled input

The feature can be used by subscriber controlled input. For the subscriber procedure, see: Analog subscriber ISDN subscriber GeoCENTREX Analog subscriber ISDN subscriber

The access code for subscriber controlled input consists of a maximum of 6 characters or, for GeoCENTREX subscribers, a maximum of 5 characters. It can be formed from the symbols 5 , # and the service code (SC) with the digits 0 ... 9. The operator can specify the character strings for the access code. Separate service codes (SC) for GFR including alarm calls and GFR excluding alarm calls. Differences for pulse dialing The selected digits are not obligatory; other digits can be input (depending on the existing numbering plan). 1111 at the beginning of an input in place of 5 1112 at the beginning of an input in place of # 1113 at the beginning of an input in place of 5 # 5 as a disconnecting signal after the feature code, not relevant # after the subscriber controlled input, not relevant Acknowledgments after subscriber controlled input The following tones, announcements and display texts are examples and can be administrated by the operator. The display texts can be changed to suit individual projects.
