GROUP DISCUSSION SHOULD RESERVATION CONTINUE EVEN AFTER 60 YEARS

Today everywhere only one discussion is going on, should Reservation be stopped? Is because of reservation the future of the country is in danger and is leading to darkness? When these questions are asked by other people it doesnt matter because they are doing the same for past 60 years, but when such comments are made by people who are taking reservation, its pathetic on their part. These people do not posses any intellectual thinking so that they dont recognize who is on their side and who is not. For all those who have lost their mind just like above, this is one little effort to make them feel
1. Are Five thousand years equal to 60 years ?

Five thousand years ago, the principles of casteism were laid by the people of upper caste, who are the privileged class of today. They forcibly took all rights from the natives (local tribes) and literally made them slaves. This slavery continued for last 5000 years. They faced this slavery without saying a word. And now when they are getting reservation for just 60 years, then why there is so much hype about that. These 60 years are in no way equal to those 5000 years of slavery.
2. Distribute the property they amassed for last 5000 years

For 5000 years this upper caste people were exploiting the native people and they amassed huge amount of property and wealth. They kept all rights for education with them . And today if this upper caste people are asking to stop the reservation, then just stop it! But before doing that just distribute the amassed wealth equally to this exploited people and then have a competition as equals!!

3. Reservation and future of India People say that because of reservation students securing 40 % also get into professional education. Because of which the level of education is going down and the future of India is in danger. But when these people take admission to the same course for their student having 35 % marks by unfair means, then the future of India is not in danger?. Now the wealth accumulated by them in 5000 years is coming to their rescue.
4. Reservation in foreign countries

For last 200 years, Developed countries like USA are giving reservation to their native people and their rights are protected by these reservation. When USA can give this type protection for so much time to their native people, then why cant India give reservation? From 5000 years they are taking 100% reservation in every field and now they cant bear 50 % reservation for backward community? Even Big Private Companies like Microsoft are giving considerable 33% reservation to their native people, then why cant India have reservation for backward community in Govt. companies?
5. True picture of rural India

Even if the condition of people has improved and they are on the path of equality and progress, the conditions of people in remote areas of India is same as it was before independence. The reservation we are getting for last 60 years was on broad basis only on the papers. At few places it has come to reality but at most places it is unchanged. And if reservation is stopped now, India will move 5000 years back! Would you like to face it?????

6. Actual Statistics

If one thinks about the actual percentage of people belonging to backward community, then they contribute to 85% of the total population, and they are having just 50 % reservation. Remaining 50 % is taken as granted by other 15 % people. To conclude we can say that this matter is a highly controversial issue and needs to be discussed on constitutional level. We as a student stand nowhere to discuss this issue and we should leave this matter to all intellectuals out there!!!.
