No 20 CHRIST HAS SET US FREE FROM SINFUL HABITS (Christ living in me is my holiness) Deut 30:6 The Lord your

God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live. The Lord will perfect that which concerns me. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness and all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments, and do them. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Dont you know that so many of us as were baptised into Jesus Christ were baptised into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Likewise reckon also yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me. For God is always at work in you to make you willing and able to obey His own purpose. And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God through faith. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He that calls you, who also will do it.

Heb 9:14

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed. According as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
