Marines will receive a detailed brief before firing including safety instructions, course of fire, and range walk through. OIC, RSO, and NCOs will observe for unsafe conditions. Each vehicle PSO will maintain positive communication with RSO prior to live fire. Marines will step off with a full hydration system and (2) canteens. We will also bring (5) additional water jugs. Drivers will receive a thorough brief on the route. All vehicles will be PMd prior to departure. All operators and vehicle Commanders will get ample amount of sleep the night prior to departure Marines will be given thorough safety briefs on proper weapons safety and PPE when working with the weapons systems. Also once firing is complete Marines will ensure the weapon is cool down to prevent them from being burned. Marines will be informed of the weapons condition and given a safety brief. Safety OIC/RSO will monitor the evolution. All Marines will wear all PPE including ballistic eyewear. Marines will be briefed to be aware of targets back and not to fire on any ricochet producing materials.

All Marines will be briefed as safety officers, calling cease fire if any unsafe condition is observed.
Ensure safety briefs are thorough and complete and incorporate all contingencies. All fire teams leaders will inspect their Marines for a full camelback and canteens. Vehicle Commanders will supervise the vehicle operators SNCO's and PSO's will ensure Marines are properly employing weapons and practicing safe conditions. OIC/RSO/PSOs will ensure safety on the range. OIC/RSO will conduct line out prior to departing firing position
