As a hardworking and capable individual with a strong academic background and reasonable work experience, I am proud to say that

I already possess an ample understanding of the technical elements of civil engineering. From an early age I have always been a passionate about creation and innovation. From my school days I was interested in how buildings were constructed and stood up. At IIT Roorkee I came to know the theoretical concept of civil engineering where we had lots of courses in our curriculum like Structural Analysis- I,II, Fluid Mechanics, Hydrology, Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering and Geomatics Engineering..etc and in my 3rd year I did an internship in SFC Environmental technologies Pvt. Ltd., where we worked in a sewage treatment plant of capacity of 70 MLD and couldnt help but felt proud on the scale of contribution of Civil Engineering to the society. This passion for civil engineering has led to an ambition to gain a degree qualification which I can then use as a stepping stone to becoming a civil engineer. After graduating I joined a Public Enterprise SJVN Ltd. presently operating the countrys largest 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power station in Himachal Pradesh and has various ongoing projects in India, Nepal and Bhutan. Iam currently working in a under construction 412 MW Rampur Hydro Electric Project as a Civil Designer, where I learned the first class experience of civil engineering. I have designed 400m long 5.4m dia Penstock with compound bends, bifurcation and other accessories of Penstock like Expansion Joints and supports like anchor block, thrust block, rocker mounted ring girder support and I have also designed Commercial building for our new office building and did various slope stabilization works, cladding walls, retaining walls, foundation treatment works. Here I watched the structures, which I designed on paper and from construction drawing I made, stood firm which gave me a great joy. In SJVN Ltd I enjoyed the variety of work and I surmounted the challenges with skills and efficient coordination with the construction department. My ambition for the future is to become fully qualified Civil Engineer and for that I felt your University will be the most exciting and promising place to get equipped with tools to become a better person and a better civil engineer than Iam today.
