To motivate solution innovators to register, The Ocean Exchange offers the following awards:

Monetary Awards - Solution Creators seeking financial support can register their Solutions to compete to be one of the top 10 entries chosen to present at the Exchange in Savannah, Georgia on Sept. 30 & Oct. 1 2013. Invited delegates will then vote for the winners of:

The Gulfstream Navigator Award 2013. $100,000 is given to the Solution that best

demonstrates the greatest potential to LEAP TO ZERO with applicability across multiple industries generating positive impact on the environment, economies and health while respecting cultures around the world. The WWL Orcelle Award 2013. $100,000 is given to the solution that makes shipping and logistics more sustainable by advancing zero-emissions marine transport and technologies that are commercially viable.

Excellence Awards - Corporations and organizations with Solutions registered in the Ocean Exchange Gallery are automatically considered for the Excellence Awards. The top 3 Solutions chosen by the global review panel will be invited to present at the opening reception on September 29, 2013.

The Ocean Exchange welcomes Solutions from around the world and in 2012 entries were received from 16 countries. Winners were: Protei a shape-shifting, open-source sailing drone designed to sense and clean the oceans after natural and manmade disasters; and Nonox a combustion technology for container ships, long-haul trucking, and stationary sources that lowers NOx and SOx emissions by up to 30%, carbon dioxide emissions by up to 15%, and improves fuel performance by up to 30%. To qualify for 2013 awards, you must complete the pre-screening application by 11:59PM (GMT) on May 1. Final applications for 2013 will be due by 11:59PM (GMT) on June 1. After the deadline, our expert review panel will narrow the field to: The Top ten Solutions. Vying for the Monetary Awards - Selected solution creators will be invited to Savannah, GA, expenses paid, to present their work. Our Board of Governors and invited guests representing a cross-section of professions from industry, government, conservation, research and academia will select the Gulfstream Navigator Award and WWL Orcelle Award Winners. The top three Excellence Award winners - Solutions chosen by the global review panel will be invited to present at the opening reception of the Exchange on September 29, 2013.
