Legal Responsibility

Statement of the Problem The study aimed to determine the level of compliance of staff nurses of selected tertiary hospitals in Lucena City to the legal responsibility and ethico moral responsibility basis for a monitoring guide. Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions; 1. What is the demographic profile of staff nurses of selected tertiary hospitals in Lucena City in terms of a. age? b. gender? c. employment status? d. educational attainment? e. length of service? 2. What is the level of compliance of staff nurses to the legal and ethico moral responsibilities as assessed by staff nurses themselves and the head nurses? 3. Is there a significant difference between the assessment made by the staff nurses themselves and that of the head nurses as to the level of compliance to the legal and ethico moral responsibilities. 4. Is there a significant relationship between the demographic profile and the level of compliance of staff nurses to the legal responsibility and ethico moral responsibility. 5. What implication can be derived from the findings of the study will become useful towards the monitoring guide. Hypotheses The following hypotheses were formulated to provide direction to the study: 1. There is no significant difference between the assessment made by the staff nurses themselves and that of the head nurses as to the level of compliance to the legal and ethico moral responsibilities. 2. There is no significant relationship between the demographic profile and the level of compliance of staff nurses to the legal responsibility and ethico moral responsibility.
