What were learning
Our Bible stories for this week are The Parable of the Talents and The Parable of the Vineyard Workers. We will be reading Riddle-dee Fiddle-deedee and The Riddles in our basal reading books. We are focusing on the long e sound in phonics. Math will include adding 10 to a number, fractions, and solving math stories. In language we are focusing on adverbs and proofreading our writing.

Assignments
Monday: Read Christ Light A The Parable of the Talents Read Riddle-dee Fiddle-dee-dee Tuesday: I Corinthians 10:31 (Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all

for the glory of God.)

Read The Riddles Wednesday: None Thursday: Hymn 748 (Found in the Hymnal Supplement) Spelling Test (meet, jeep, see, sheep, street, three, tree, weep Bonus: sleep, green) Hymn 748 Lamb of God v. 1:

Your only Son, no sin to hide, But you have sent him from your side To walk upon this guilty sod and to be called the Lamb of God. Refrain (extra credit): Oh Lamb of God, Sweet Lamb of God, I love the holy Lamb of God! Oh, wash me in his precious blood, My Jesus Christ the Lamb of God.
Here are some ways to challenge your child: Math Tell an addition/subtraction story with items at home. Reading Identify the main character, setting, and plot of the stories read at home. Writing Write a chant/cheer that shows your school spirit!

Important Notes

During the Lenten season, I will not be assigning homework for Wednesday nights. Services are on Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. with a soup supper in between. Hope to see you there! Field Trip forms and payments for the Childrens Discovery Museum are due this Thursday, February 28th! Show your school spirit this week! Your child isnt required to dress-up, but the more we show our spirit the closer we will be to a trophy! Here is a review of dress up days: Monday Crazy Day Thursday Pirate Day Tuesday Sports Day Friday Green and Gold Day Wednesday Dress-up Day February book orders are due February 28th!
