La estructura bsica del negativo del verbo "to be" en pasado:

La estructura bsica del interrogativo del verbo "to be" en pasado


Verbo + Sujeto + objeto / complemento? Was I a student? Were you happy? Was he a musician? Was she in the car? Was it a hot day? Were we lucky? Were you from Madrid? Were they ours?

Era alumno? Eras feliz? Era msico? Estaba en el coche? Era un da caluroso? Tuvimos suerte? Eras de Madrid? Eran nuestros?

Nota: Para hacer una oracin interrogativa con el verbo "to be" en pasado simplemente se intercambia de posicin el verbo "to be" con el sujeto.

Algunos verbos son regulares y otros irregulares.

La forma de pasado simple de un verbo sea regular o irregular solo se usa en la oracin afirmativa; cuando se niega o se pregunta el verbo regresa a su forma simple y se utiliza el
auxiliar didnt o did, respectivamente. Para formar el pasado simple de los verbos regulares, solo hay que agregar el sufijo -ed a la forma simple del verbo. Ejemplos: work - worked Si el verbo termina en y precedida de una consonante, se desaparece la y y se cambia por i ms el sufijo ed. study studied Si termina en y precedida de una vocal , solo se agrega el sufijo ed. play played Si el verbo es de una sola slaba y termina en consonante (excepto y) precedida de una vocal, se repite la ltima consonante y se agrega -ed. stop stopped Si el verbo termina en una sola e, solo se agrega la d. live lived Si el verbo es de dos slabas, termina con una vocal y una consonante (con excepcin de y) y se acenta en la ltima slaba, se duplica la ltima consonante final y se agrega ed. control controlled Para formar el pasado simple de los verbos irregulares, no hay reglas, cada uno tiene su propia particularidad.
USO. Usamos el pasado simple para hablar acerca de acciones y situaciones en el pasado. I played football yesterday. He lived in London from 1970 to 1973, then he moved to Manchester. Did you see Sarah yesterday? No, I didnt.

We didnt go out last night. We stayed at home and watched TV. They went to Italy on holiday last summer. Marie and Perrie Curie discovered radium.

Ejemplos de oraciones afirmativas en pasado simple:


Sujeto + verbo en pasado simple + objeto / complemento. Alguien me gust. Cogistes algo. (t) Necesit algo. (l) Tuvo algo. (ella) Fue a algn sitio. Escribisteis algo. (vosotros) Caminamos a algn sitio. Hicieron algo. (ellos) I liked somebody. You got something. He needed something. She had something. It went somewhere. You wrote something. We walked somewhere. They did something.

Nota: Con el pasado simple afirmativo se utiliza la forma "pasado simple" del verbo ("no" el infinitivo). Dentro de esta forma, hay dos tipos de verbos: los verbos regulares y los verbos irregulares.

Ejemplos de oraciones negativas en pasado simple:


Sujeto + didnt + verbo en forma simple + objeto / complemento. I didn't like somebody. You didn't get something. He didn't need something. She didn't have something. It didn't go somewhere. You didn't write something. We didn't have something They didn't do something
Contracciones: "didn't" = "did not".

Ejemplos de oraciones interrogativas en pasado simple:

Nota: En las oraciones interrogativas en pasado simple el verbo va en infinitivo.
