Customizable Digital Audio Console

Experience the Innovative Advantage

Digital Network Console

DECENNIUM is a fully digital audio mixing console, designed to enhance efficiency in your broadcast facility. It comes along with an ergonomic flat panel hardware design and offers extensive standard functions. At the same time DECENNIUM is a router based control surface and can be fully integrated into KLOTZ DIGITAL's intelligent VADIS audio and control network solution. The excellent network performance combined with a modular hardware and software architecture makes the console an user-friendly piece of equipment enabling a maximum grade of customization.

Decentralized Channel Related Access to Sources

One of the outstanding features of the DECENNIUM control surface is the Multi Purpose Control Element' (MPCE) which is located on top of each channel strip. The MPCE is an invaluable tool allowing decentralized channel related access to sources and parameters. Furthermore via the MPCE several channel strips can be operated simultaneously which is a useful tool in everyday work. DECENNIUM is the ideal mixing console for any broadcaster seeking a low-cost, high-efficiency control surface offering a high level of operational effectiveness and broadcast security.

No need for external audio treatment

DECENNIUM is equipped with first-class DSP features superseding external voice processors or other peripheral equipment. Additional processing can be inserted on each channel, including an extensive dynamics package (limiter/ compressor/expander) and a 6-band parametric equalizer.

Besides we have taken all measures to ensure contineous operation of your KLOTZ DIGITAL broadcast system and let you rest easy.

Control Surface

DECENNIUM combines a control surface with an audio engine which ties the DECENNIUM into the facilities audio and control network. Two types of control surface modules are available, the fader module with four faders and the monitor module with four independent monitor channels, DSP and control section and function keys.

Focus on the Multi Purpose Control Element

The MPCE which is integrated in every channel strip is used for channel related parameter settings and source selection. It consists of a rotary encoder with integrated push button and an associated 16 character display (8+8). Furthermore this distinctive feature enables each fader module to be used as a single 4-ch console without the need of a monitor module. Multi Purpose Control Element

Applications

Welcome to a New Way of Doing Things

DECENNIUM's control surface has been developed with the objective of generating an extraordinary operation surface allowing extreme flexibility in console layout. Each console module comes in its own housing and therefore the design allows compact, split and single module arrangements. The DECENNIUM does not require furniture cut-outs, due to it's unique flat panel design. This allows unprecedented flexibility in layout to suit opertor needs. Classic Compact Layout

Applications

Rich Diversity of Applications Meeting Individual Requirements The different types of applications can be made in accordance to customers' individual requirements for example an On-Air studio equipped with a shared console.

Multi User Layout

The perfect and most economical solution for the News Room Sharing one audio engine, but using individual bus technology, each four fader module forms a separate console. Furthermore each module can be split due to individual busses: one 4-fader console for 2 users. Journalists are able to assemble their broadcasts working simultaneously without interfering with each other. This solution is space saving and cost efficient as it can be installed in small working environments or even directly onto the journalist desk.

Audio Engine and Software

Any Signal Anywhere

The VADIS audio engine is the core of the DECENNIUM console. VADIS is a synchronous platform designed for high quality audio applications without latency, delays or glitches. The backplane of the DECENNIUM audio engine offers 10 slots to accomodate any combination of audio input/output, networking and signal processing cards. It is based on KLOTZ DIGITAL's TDM technology that has a proven track record of thousands of installed units worldwide.

Software is the Gateway to Customization

In general DECENNIUM comes pre-configured as an On-Air console which can be easily installed and put into operation. Nevertheless it is fully modular and can be customized to almost any requirement at a reasonable price-performance ratio. Dozens of specialized add-ons and software modules are available for this purpose. Additionally KLOTZ DIGITAL's unique CSL programming language guarantees the highest grade of integration capabilities. It has been successfully used for many years and allows the economical and long lasting implementation of highly customized projects with the unrestricted possibility for further update and upgrade.

Networking

The Router Based System: Handle More with a Solution That Does More
Many attempts have been made to simply replace analog gear with digital equipment. But what is the point of going digital? Surely you want to take advantages of the many benefits only a digital architecture can provide. The DECENNIUM solution goes far beyond trivial audio networking. It can be compared with a typical client-server architecture. Each client can act as a server and vice versa. Users can route and process audio and control data throughout the entire facility. With the single push of a DECENNIUM buttom operators can control every broadcast device in the facility and carry out changes in the system. As an example, any DECENNIUM integrated in the VADIS router environment is able to run and control each play-out-system, talk-studio or other device anywhere in the broadcast facility. KLOTZ DIGITAL's client server approach offers new ways to support your workflow and enables you to fully exploit cost saving potentials by reducing the amount of necessary equipment in many areas of the broadcast facility.

A Gentle Landing Due to Safety Net and Redundant Structures

VADIS differs in an essential aspect from the client-server-architecture: Though completely networked each studio in the broadcast facility is designed as a self-contained unit, not depending on the LAN based control network. The reliable audio network, based on industrial controllers and redundant fiber optics, ensures your audio supply. Audio will even continue to flow while you do maintenance on the control network.

Making your Workflow Easier

VADIS Software Modules Leaving Nothing to be Desired

Have you always wanted studio equipment fitting your workflow exactly and making your daily work easier? Stop wishing, use VADIS software modules together with your networked DECENNIUM solution. KLOTZ DIGITAL's VADIS specialized software modules make work easier and furthermore enhance system stability. Expamles: Air Chain Management (ACM) to provide automated management of the main outputs of a system, such as the On-Air feeds. ACM provides a decentralized operation directly from each studio and guarantees an inaudible and fail-safe On-Air routing. Central Return Line Management (RLM) to manage the access and control of central resources, such as a pool of centralized telephone hybrids or codecs. The CRM helps to avoid collisions and to provide all necessary functions for a simple and stress free operation. User Rights Management (URM) to provide password protected login and access rights for user groups and single users. Automatic mixer {MI(C)XER} to automatically mix up to 40 mono or stereo line or microphone inputs to one fader strip of a console. This helps to handle multiple sources in an easy way. The MI(C)XER is a very useful tool especially for talk shows or round table discussions. The central Snapshot and Preset Management to allow complete remote administration of a networked console. A sound engineer can access any single channel of any console (e.g. the DJ or announcer microphone) to modify the settings via remote control. ...
